Gladys T. Bare service Thursday
Gladys T. Bare, 85, of Douglass, died today at Douglass Medicalodge.
A memorial service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Douglass United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Douglass Cemetery. Rev. Dan Ferguson will officiate the service.
Bare was born July 21, 1902, to Miller and Lillian Van Sickle King in Ottawa.
On Oct. 8, 1937, she married Paul C. Bare. He survives of the home.
Bare received a degree in music education from Emporia State Teachers College. She taught music in various Kansas communities, and taught part time in the Douglass and Rose Hill school systems after getting married. She also gave private music lessons and was a member of the Douglass United Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she leaves a son, Jim of Chadd Ford, Pa.; two grandsons; sister-in-law, Marjorie Bare of Douglass.
Memorial has been established with the organ fund of the Methodist Church.

Former Augustan dies in New Mexico
John T. Kraft, 82, Tucumcari, NM, father of Karen Small of Augusta, died Monday, Jan. 4, at Tucumcari Hospital in Tucumcari, NM. He was a former resident of Augusta.
His funeral service will be at the Fitzgerald Funeral Home in Ness City. Burial will be in the Trego Center Cemetery.
Survivors include: sister, Mary Boxburger of Russell; daughters, Violet Mai of Russell, Ruby Allen of Tucumcari, NM, Evelyn Carr of Los Alamos, NM; sons, Delmer Kraft of Atlanta, Ga., Delbert Kraft of Tucumcari, NM;
11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.

Lee R. Hodson service Thursday
Lee R. Hodson, 58, died Monday, Jan. 4, at the V A Hospital in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Jan Shelton officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Hodson was born Feb. 25, 1929 at Sylvia as a son of Harry and Bertha Kelley Hodson.
On Aug. 6, 1957 he and the former Margaret Osborn were united in marriage during a ceremony at Turon. She survives.
During his life, Hodson worked as a mechanic. He served in the Korean War.
Other survivors include a daughter, Nancy Lee Hodson of California; three brothers, Milburn of Grand Rapids, Mich., Duane of Golden, Colo., and Dean of Wichita; three sisters, Joyce Lakin of Colebrook, N.H., Doris Maze of Thurmond, Md., and Jeanette Winter of Wichita,

Daisy Gregory died today
Daisy L. Gregory, 79, of Leon, died today at Knutson Manor Nursing Center in El Dorado.
Her funeral service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Burial will be in Latham Cemetery and the Rev. Bill Bullard will officiate.
Gregory was born Sept. 6, 1908, to Clifford and Minnie Ketterman Price in Atlanta.
She was a retired beautician and had worked for Beech Aircraft Corporation for 20 years and for Boeing Military Airplane Company for five years. She was a member of the Latham Christian Church.
Survivors include: son, Jack of Waynesville, Mo.; daughters, Patricia Ottaway of Wichita, Billie Davis of Leon; brother, C.B. Price of Atlanta; sisters, Lois Shannon of Neosho, Mo., Delilah Thomas of Winfield, Lorene Dry-den of Oklahoma City; 10 grand-children; eight great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Salvation Army.

Osa Travis dies
Osa
Travis died today at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
Her funeral will be 2 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
She was born Nov. 1, 1895 to Jacob and Lenella Brenner.
Survivors include a son, Raymond Travis of Shell Knob, Mo.; a sister, Thelma Lehr of Augusta; two grandsons, Gary Travis of Arkansas City, and Jim Travis of Wichita, and eight great-grandchildren. She also leaves
some nephews.
Travis was a member of the First Baptist Church and a long-time employee of Lehr’s Restaurant. Memorials to the church have
been suggested.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Flossie Taylor.
