Henrietta A. Phillips died Friday at hospital
Henrietta Alice Phillips, 81, Augusta, died Friday, Jan. 8, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral service will be 11 o’clock tomorrow, Jan. 12, in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate and burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery at El Dorado.
She was born Dec. 3, 1906 in Mexico, Mo., as a daughter of William M. and Mary Alice Mallory White.
On Feb. 15, 1932, she and Austin Phillips were united in marriage during a ceremony at Perry, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Phillips was a homemaker for her late husband and their three children, two sons and a daughter.
She leaves sons John Phillips and David Phillips, both of Augusta, and daughter, Betty Garrett of Bartlesville, Okla.; a sister, Abbie Joiner of Wathena, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Memorial books at the Augusta Public Library have been suggested by the family.

Douglass woman’s father dies at 91
John H. Schick, 91, Tampa, father of Florence Wishaar of Douglass, died Saturday, Jan. 9.
His funeral service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Tampa.
Other survivors include a son, Marvin of Harrisonville, Mo.; another daughter, Dolores Backhus of Kansas City, Kan.; two sisters, Rachel Berg of Sacramento, Calif., and Mary Helbach of Herington; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the Kansas State University Cancer Research Department have been suggested. The Donahue Funeral Home at Herington is in charge of arrangements.
Frank E. Wheeler had private rites
A private funeral service has been held for Frank Everett Wheeler, 50, Grand Prairie, Texas, who died Jan. 1, 1988. He was the father of Roxie Wheeler of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Union Rescue Mission. The Broadway Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
In addition to the daughter here, he leaves a son, Frank of Los Angeles, Calif., daughters Trina of Wichita, Brita Liebfried of Rogers, Ark., Ginger of Little Rock, Ark.; brothers Melvin of Aurora, Colo., and Robert of Elk City; sisters, Bonnie Smith of Derby, Ramona Tatum of Mulvane, Mary Kiser of El Paso, Texas, and Glenda Bersuch of Fort Worth, Texas, and three grandcildren.
Delpha E. Calvin died in El Dorado
Delpha E. Calvin, 89, Latham, died Sunday, Jan. 10, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Her funeral service will be 2 o’clock Wednesday, Jan. 13, at the Latham Christian Church and burial will be in the Latham Cemetery. The Miles Memorial Chapel at Winfield is in charge of arrangements and friends may call there after Tuesday noon.
Mrs. Calvin was born Nov. 19, 1898 in Greenwich as a daughter of B.O. and Sophia Young Woltz.
On Sept. 8, 1920, she married Howard Calvin in a ceremony at Winfield.
She was a dietary cook for the Latham School. Mrs. Calvin was also a member of the Latham Christian Church, Latham Extension EHU, and the Latham Friends Club.
In addition to her husband, she leaves four sons, Neal of Wichita, Dean of Ellinwood, Warren and Wayne, both of Latham; five daughters, Bonita Stein of Waconda, Ill., Wilma Darragh oif Streamwood, Ill., Maxine Watson of Latham, Doris Keller of Irving, Texas, Corrine Edwards of Salina; one sister, Verda Braden of Blackwell, Okla.; a brother, Clarence Woltz, also of Blackwell, 20 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Latham Christian Church.
Virgil G. Reyer dies in Colorado
Virgil George Reyer, 91, Longmont, Colo., died Jan. 7 in Boulder, Colo.
A funeral service for this retired policeman will be at 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon in the Rose Hill Friends Church with burial in the Friends Cemetery.
Reyer was born Jan. 23, 1896 in Rose Hill.
Survivors include a son, Eldon of Santa Fe, N.M.; a daughter, Nelda Patterson of Yakima, Wash., eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
