Monday, January 25, 1988
Lynn Moore funeral Tuesday
Lynn Moore, 84, of Winfield, a retired barber and brother Reed Moore of Augusta, died Friday Jan. 22, at his home.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Miles Memorial Chapel. Rev. M.E. Jenkins and Rev. Warren Smith will officate and burial will be in Highland Cemetery.
Moore was a member of the First Baptist Church, Elks Club, Winfield Saddle Club and the A.S. & A.M. Club.
Other survivors are wife, Leona; son, Gary of Winfield; daughter, Kristin Moore-Schilte of Houston; another brother, Frank of Edmond, Okla.; sister, Virginia Bullard of Dallas; and five grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with William Newton Memorial Hospital Home Health Care Services.

Roy Crissup died Saturday
Roy Crissup, 85, of Leon, retired heavy-equipment operator, died Saturday, Jan. 23, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita .
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Brad Cunningham of Leon Baptist Church will officate the services. Burial will be in Leon Cemetery.
Survivors are wife, Lola; sons, Jack of Leon, Larry of Mohnton, Pa.; daughters, Ewondia Wood of Henderson, Nev., Georgia Myers of Martinez, Calif., MarJean Whiteside of Leon, Barbra Butts of Chase; sisters, Lucille Clark of Phoenix, Mabel McGee of Fountain, Colo.; 29 grandchildren , 75 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Leon Senior Citizens.

Elsie Agnes Morgan funeral held today
Elsie Agnes Morgan, 87, homemaker of Leon died Sunday, Jan. 24, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
The funeral service was this afternoon at Leon United Methodist Church. Rev. Keith Mace officiated and burial was in Leon Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 3, 1900 in Leon to James and Mattie Long Knox.
On Dec. 24, 1924 a wedding in El Dorado united her with Willard Morgan. He survives.
Morgan was a member of the Leon United Methodist Church and activities of the church including director of the choir for 40 years. She was also a member of the Quest Club, Order of the Eastern Star, also she taught piano and vocal lessons at her home for a period of time.
Other survivors include a son Dr. James I. Morgan of Wichita; brother, James Knox of Leon; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.
A memorial has been established with Leon United Methodist Church.
The Kirby-Morris Funeral Home at El Dorado was in charge of arrangements.

Saturday funeral
Winifred Ketch and Julia Fowler of Augusta drove to Anthony, Kan., Saturday to attend the funeral of Winifred’s uncle, Don Needels. They also attended burial services for Mr. Needels in Nash, Okla.
After the burial service, the two Augusta women visited lifelong friends of Miss Ketch, Willard and Leona Potter at Jet, Okla.

Robert J. Dutton funeral is Friday
Robert J. Dutton, 70, of Hutchinson, father of Barbara Peterson of Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, in Hutchinson.
Services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, at L.M. Mortuary in Hutchinson. Rev. Stan Culver of the First Baptist Church will officiate the services and burial will be in Hutchinson Cemetery.
Other survivors include his wife, Phyllis; sons Robert of Hutchinson, Richard of Valley Center, and seven grandchildren.
Dutton a veteran of World War II, joined the U.S. Army Aug. 8, 1943 at Fort Leavenworth with the Seventh Custer Cavalry. He served in the South Pacific until Sept 25, 1945, when he was discharged at Fort Carson, Colo.
During his tour of duty Dutton recieved the Philippines Liberation Ribbon with two clusters, the World War II Victory Ribbon, Asiatic Pacific Ribbon also with two clusters, and the Good Conduct Metal. He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign War.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church of Hutchinson.

Robert B. Hughes
Robert B. Hughes, 49, of Cheney, father of Virginia Maus of Andover, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at St. Francis Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Downing & Lahey Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Mike Rucker will officiate and burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery at Independence.
Other survivors are daughter Toni L. Miller of Cheney, brothers, Russell of Wichita, Joseph of Texarkana, Ark., and four grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with American Cancer Society.
