Tessie L. Reed funeral Saturday
Tessie L. Reed, 78, homemaker and stepmother of Dick Reed of Leon , from Wichita, died at her home Tuesday Jan 26, 1988.
Services and burial will be 1 p.m. Saturday, at the Douglass Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Guthrie of Leon Christian Church will officate the services.
Tessie was born Oct. 27, 1909 in Everton, Mo. to Mr. and Mrs. John Coble.
Other survivors are a son, Aubry Leon Heaton of Dixon, Mont.; daughter, Leta Mae Heinze of Phelan, Calif.; stepsons, Robert Reed of Danville, Ill., Gene Reed of Edmond, Okla.; 23 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Downing & Lahey Mortuary.

Marie Warren dies at 77
Marie Warren, 77, El Dorado, mother of James Warren of Augusta, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, at the Rose Hill Manor nursing home.
Her service will be 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the 12 Corners Cemetery in Pea Ridge, Ark.
She was born July 27, 1910 in Missouri to Heny and Hyleanor Howard Schnell.
On Nov. 8, 1933, she married Earl Warren who preceded her in death.
Survivors include three other sons, Billy of Piedmont, Walter of Mulvane and Jerry Dale of El Dorado; three daughters, Betty Squires, Mary Blaisdell, and Phyllis Warren, all of El Dorado, and nine grandchildren.

Laura W. Sweeney service tomorrow
Homemaker Laura Winona Sweeney, 81, of 3 Fairlane, died Thursday, Jan. 28, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be at 11 o’clock tomorrow morning at the First Christian Church, 1600 State Street. Rev. Jon Grissom will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 10, 1906 in Pittsburg, to Mr. and Mrs. Weaver Sanderson.
On Oct. 6, 1928, she was married to G. Alvin Sweeney.
Mrs. Sweeney was a member of Rebekahs.
She leaves her husband, G. Alvin Sweeney; daughters, Barbara Thompson of Augusta and Mary Goodner of Wichita. She is also survived by three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the First Christian Church.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Molter dies at hospital
Frank Molter, 82, Atlanta, died Thursday, Jan. 28, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon at the Altanta Christian Church and burial will be in the Atlanta Cemetery.
Molter was born Dec. 20,1905 in Illinois as a son of Roy and Carrie Blankenbaker Molter.
He married Ruby Travis Long Oct. 30, 1946. She survives.
Also surviving are five daughters, Loretta Seymour of El Dorado, Kathy Simmons of Atlanta, Donna Wenderlich and Louise Wenderlich, both of Davenport, Okla., and JoAnn Jones of Dickson, Texas; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Larry Carter died on Saturday
Larry Carter, 61, former owner of Mr. Bottle Company, died Saturday, Jan 30, at Riverside Hospital in Wichita.
Services and burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 2, at Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate.
He was born May 7, 1926 in Boulder, Colo., to Ernest Carter and Ruth W. Adams.
On Oct. 21, 1945, he married Leannah Mary Reid. She sruvives.
Other survivors include sons Donald L. and Jerry D. Carter, both of Wichita; daughter, Nikki L. Fones of Wichita; half-sister, Thelma Speight of Van Nuys, Calif; half brothers Glester Carter in Utah and Dale Carter of Wichita, five grandchildren.

Herbert Testerman funeral Wednesday
Herbert A. Testerman, 76, retired bricklayer and insulator for Mobil Corp., died Sunday, Jan 31, at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Funersal Home chapel. Rev. Ray Gilstrap will officiate the services and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Jan. 19, 1912 to James H. Testerman and Minerva Jane Pettay in Tipton Ford, Mo.
In 1932, the family moved to the Augusta area where he later married Thelma A. Rhoads, Dec. 10, 1935 in Augusta. She survives.
Other survivors are son Charles L. of Englewood, Colo.; daughter, Connie Whitson of Augusta; brother, Ted Testerman of Carterville, Mo,;sisters Irma Shirey of Denver, Colo., Pauline Blandin of Manhattan, Lucille Conway of Joplin, Mo., and grandchildren, David Whitson, Andy Testerman,and Paula Testerman.
A memorial has been established with the First Baptist Church. Funeral arrangements were made by Dunsford Funeral Home.
