William Allen funeral Thursday
William A. Allen, 69, father of Wallace Allen from Auguata, died Monday, Feb. 1, at the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Lakeview Funeral Home. Rev. Larry Scarth of Andover Church of Christ will officate the services. Burial will be in the Lakeview Cemetery.
He was born May 4, 1918 to Jeffrey Allen and Almeda Knight in Arkansas.
Additional survivors are wife, Ethel; sons, Edward of De Witt, Ark., Jimmy and Neal of Wichita; daughters, Joyce Ann Sinset of West Helena, Ark., Katherine Allen and Willene Allen of Wichita; brother, Edwin of Sheridan, Ark.; sisters, Mildred Allen of Wichita, Sara Book of Eudora,
Ark., Dorthey Cockrom of Indiana, Lela Dickerson of Canada and seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Maude Carpenter Children’s home.
Funeral arrangements were made by Lakeview Funeral Home of Wichita.

Gary Lee Morgan dies at age 47
Gary Lee Morgan, 47, Alcoholic Anonymous counselor of Wichita died Wednesday, Feb. 3 at St. Francis Regional Medical
Center of Wichita.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at Cochran Mortuary. Rev. John Ziulkowski will officiate the services and burial will be in Rest Haven Garden of Memory.
Survivors are wife, Donna; son, Ronnie of Douglass; stepson, Gary D. Kennedy of Dalhart, Texas; daughters, Brenda Pickett of Rose Hill, Marlene Gardiner of Wichita, Jo Lynn Morgan at home.
Other survivors include mother, Zona May Robertson of St. Louis, brother Jay Dee of Lawton, Okla.; sister, Wilda Kay Goodson of St. Louis,; seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the St. Joseph Medical Center Alcoholism Treatment Unit Edgerton Foundation. Funeral arrangements were made by Cochran Mortuary.

Widener service will be Monday
Elbert E. Widener, 67, retired Beechcraft assembler of 1522 Moyle, Augusta died Wednesday, Feb. 3 at the Southeast Medical Center in Dothan, Ala.
Service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Feb. 8 at the Dunsford Chapel in Augusta. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate the services and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born March 2, 1919 in Rock, to Edgar E. Widener and Susan T. McDaniel. On Nov. 4, 1943 he married Ruby Landon in Wichita.
Survivors are son, Robert of Kansas City; daughters, Barbara DeWolfe of Dothan, Ala., Joyce Neff of Wichita; sister Grace Ritchey of Lamar, Mo. and grandchild, Landon Goucher.
A memorial has been established with the Cancer Society. Funeral arrangements were made by Dunsford Funeral Home.

Ula V. Holt dies, funeral Saturday
Ula V. Holt, 82, homemaker, of Douglass died Wednesday, Feb. 3, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at the First Christian Church of Douglass. Rev. Dale Valentine will officiate the services and burial will be in Douglass Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 23, 1905 on a farm north of Atlanta to Joseph and Mattie Volkman Hall. On Nov. 20, 1928 she married Elbert L. Holt in El Dorado. He died in Aug. 1987.
Survivors are son Clarence of Whittier, Cali.; daughter, Luella Logsdon of Douglass; sister, Ima Craig of Winfield; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, five step grandchildren, five step great-grandchildren, and two step great-great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church of Douglass and the American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements were made by Miles Memorial of Winfield.

Donald E. Connor dies at home
Donald Eugene Connor, 60, 240 Main, died this morning at home.
Services and burial will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the Day Cemetery, Ava, Mo. Visitation will be 8:30 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 6 at Dunsford Funeral Home.
He was born Sept. 24, 1927 to Eugene Otto Donner and Viva Inez Cole in Seymour, Mo.
Survivors are brothers, Bobby of Augusta, LLoyd of Tulsa Okla., William and Jim of Peoria, Ill., sisters, Mary Miller of Augusta and Stella Freeman of Big Pine, Cali.
Funeral arrangements were made by Dunsford Funeral Home.
