Augustan’s mother dies at hospital
Homemaker Theda Marie Gosch, 74, Norwich, mother of Byard Gosch of Augusta, died Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Norwich United Methodist Church where she was a member. Rev. Larry Parrish and Rev. David Smith will officiate and burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery at Norwich.
She was born Feb. 25, 1913 in Williamsburg to William E. and Essie S. McCurdy Lindsey.
She and Boyd Gosch were united in marriage April 1, 1933 in a ceremony at Norwich. Mrs. Gosch was a active 4-H leader.
In addition to her son here, Mrs. Gosch leaves another son, Tom Gosch of Webb City, Mo.; a sister, Thelma Coons of Wichita; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the United Methodist Church and/or Norwich Emergency Medical Technicians have been suggested.
The Livingston Funeral Home at Kingman is in charge of arrangements.

Sarah ‘Sally’ Davis dies at age 78
Retired accountant Sarah L. “Sally” Davis, 78, Wichita, sister of James Warrender of Augusta, died Friday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
There is no service planned.
She was born April 13, 1909 to James Oscar and Ella Mae Boucher Warrender.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
The Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita made arrangements.

Weldon Reagor Sr. died Friday, Feb. 19
Weldon Wilday Reagor Sr., 72, 35 Cliff Drive, died Friday,
Feb. 19, at his home.
There is no service planned.
He was a veteran of World War II and a retired lieutenant colonel in the Army Reserve.
He was born Oct. 28, 1915 to Erle Palma and Ada Viola Wilday Reagor in La Junta, Colo.
Reagor married the former Janet McFarland Jan. 20, 1940 in a ceremony at Bridgeport, Neb.
He leaves two sons, Weldon Reagor Jr. of Augusta, and Cameron Reagor of Muscat, Oman; a sister, Miriam Landegren of Village Mills, Texas, and eight grandchildren. A son, Dorman, preceded him in death.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta had charge of arrangments.

Letha V. Gammon funeral today
Letha Virgilene Gammon, 50, Wichita, sister of Laris Pickett of Douglass, died Friday, Feb. 19, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral was this afternoon at the Rose Hill Friends Church. Rev. Charles Neifert officiated and burial was in the church cemetery.
She was born March 31, 1937 at Rose Hill as a daughter of Caryl and Mildred MacKay Pickett.
On Aug. 25, 1956, she married Robert Gammon in a ceremony at Rose Hill. He survives.
In addition to the brother at Douglass, Mrs. Gammon leaves sons, Courtney of Rose Hill, and Kendall of Pittsburg; a daughter, Rhonda Gammon of Wichita; his mother, Mildred of Rose Hill; other brothers, Lester Pickett of Mountain View, Calif., Warren Pickett of Quinton, Md., Walter Pickett of Falun, Clark Pickett of Kansas City, Mo.; sisters, Verla Perry of Friendswood, Texas, Nelda Coleman of Wichita, Ruth Herron of Oklahoma City, Jewell Conner of Cherokee, Okla., and Velma Pickett of Dodge City.
Memorials to the American Cancer Society have been suggested.
The Smith Mortuary at Derby was in charge of arrangements.

Luella Davenport dies at hospital
Luella M. Davenport, 93, died Tuesday, Feb. 23, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral service will be 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, Feb.
26, at the Broadway Mortuary chapel in Wichita with Dr. Steven H. Washburn officiating. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery.
She was born Feb. 12, 1895 in El Dorado.
On Jan. 31, 1915, she and N.
John Davenport were married in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1960.
She was a member of St. Luke Presbyterian Church in Wichita.
Mrs. Davenport leaves two daughters, Frieda Thurston of Wichita, and Doris Quiring of Augusta, nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
A son, Neil, also preceded her in death.
