Aggie Mae Jordan died Saturday
Aggie May Jordan, 83, Medford, Okla., died Saturday, April 23, at Enid Memorial Hospital.
Her funeral service will be at the First Christian Church in
Medford, Okla. Burial will be in the McKeeman Cemetery in rural Medford.
Aggie was born to Emery H. and Ida Belle (Pitcher) Bolte on Dec. 11, 1904, near Buffalo, Okla.
She married Newell Jordan in 1933.
She was a former teacher in the Medford and Renfro, Okla, area; a farm owner and a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Currier of Augusta, Lula Elswick of Douglass, Aletta Conrady of Oklahoma City, Okla, and Joyce Clark of Boise, Idaho; one son, Howard Jordan of Medford; 11 grandchildren including Debbie Luper of Augusta, Don Currier of El Dorado, Mike Elswick of Austin, Texas and Pam Elswick Price of Tulsa, Okla, (both formerly of Douglass); and five great-grandchildren including Joshua and Ashleigh Luper of Augusta. One infant son precedes her in death.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.

W.E. ‘Stu’ Stuart dies at hospital
W.E. “Stu” Stuart, 70, Augus-ta, died Sunday, April 24, at Augusta Medical Complex.
A memorial service will be 3 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, April 27, in the Dunsfor Funeral Home chapel here.
Stuart was born in 1917 in Norwood, Ohio to Thomas and Amelia Wertz Stuart.
On Oct. 16, 1943, he and Dorothy Mae O’Halloran were united in marriage in Chicago.
He was a retired professor of economics at Webster University at McConnell Air Force Base and a retired Boeing engineer. He also served as an Army officer in World War II.
Preceding him in death was a sister, Vivian.
Survivors include his wife Dorothy and three brothers, Jerry of France, Raymond of Indiana, and Pat of North Carolina, one sister Ethella Kauppe, of Cincinnati, Ohio; sons, Mike of Dallas, Stu of Nashville, Tenn., and Brian of Andover; and daughters Beth and Dee, both of Wichita.
A memorial has been set up with American Civil Liberties Union.

Helen E. Stackley funeral tomorrow
A funeral service for Helen E. Stackley, 87, El Dorado, will be at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow, April 27, at the Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. She died Sunday, April 24.
Mrs. Stackley leaves a a son, Arlan of El Dorado; two daughters, Marilyn Lamb of Bentonville, Ark., and Kay Nienstedt of Athens, Ala.; a brother, Joel of Cassoday; eight grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the El Dorado First United Methodist Church have been suggested.

Lola B. Rolls died Saturday
Lola Bowyer Rolls, 47, a Smileyburg-area resident, died Saturday, April 23.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Belle Plaine Cemetery. Hatfield Mortuary of Belle Plaine, has the arrangements. The body will lie in state from 1 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 27.
Survivors include her husband James Rolls, three sons, Ted Spohn, Haysville, Jimmy of Shawnee, Okla, and Billy of the home; a daughter, Joy Swaggerty of Shawnee, Okla.; her mother Loree Reinhart of El Dorado; and her step-father, Walter Reinhart, El Dorado.
Rolls attended Douglass grade school and high school.

Ella Edwina Lewis funeral Wednesday
Ella Edwina Lewis, 73, Augusta, died Monday, April 25, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 27, at the Elmwood Cemetery here with Rev. Jon Grissom of First Christian Church officiating.
She was born here Dec. 23, 1914 as a daughter of Vera and Ella Fulton Hall.
On Dec. 8, 1931, she and Ray W. Lewis were united in marriage during a ceremony in McPherson. He preceded her in death.
Mrs. Lewis was a retired employee of Lehr’s Restaurant. She was a member of the First Christian Church and Order of Eastern Star.
Mrs. Lewis leaves a daughter, Betty Dencklau of Tacoma, Wash.; two grandchildren, Shelby Henderson and Grant Dencklau, and two great-grandchildren, Chad and Colby Henderson.
Memorials to the American Lung Association and/or the American Diabetes Association have been sugggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.
