Thursday, August 11, 1988
Isaacs died Wednesday
Mrs. Frances Isaacs, 79, Augusta, died Wednesday, Aug. 10, at St. Joseph Hospital.
The funeral service is set for 10:30 Saturday morning, at Downing Lahey Mortuary, in Wichita. Rev. Harold Kieler of the First United Methodist Church in Augusta will be officiating. Burial will be at White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita.
Isaacs was born to Gideon and Ida Toburen on Jan. 19, 1909.
Suvivors include her husband, Jim; a son, Donald J. of Dayton, Ohio; two daughters, Janice Lynn Dungan of Osage Beach, Mo.; Judith A. Isaacs of Seatle, Wash. and a sister, Elaine Glenn of Wichita.
Memorials have been suggested to the First United Methodist Church of Augusta.
Downing Lahey Mortuary has the arrangements.

Funeral for area boy is tomorrow
Courtney Ryan Markee, 10, of Augusta died Friday, Aug. 12.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, at the Towanda United Methodist Church. Rev. Fred Huston will officiate and burial will be in the Towanda Cemetery.
He was born on Nov. 9, 1977, in Newton, to Terry and Bertha Ann Markee.
Survivors include his parents; brothers, Casy and Clay both of the home; grandparents, Arleigh and Frances of Whitewater, William and Evelyn Shultz, Betty Havercroft all of El Dorado; great-grandparents, Edith Markee of Whitewater and Martha Shultz of Paola.
Courtney would have been a fifth grader this fall at Towanda Elementary School. He enjoyed soccer, baseball, and basketball.
Memorials have suggested to the Towanda Public Library.
Friends may call Kirby Morris Mortuary in El Dorado until 8 o’clock this evening.

Augustans’ brother died on Saturday
Clarence Stroud, 72, of Wichita and brother of Irene Banker and Edna Capshaw, both of Augusta, died Saturday. Aug. 13.
His funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, at the Broadway Mortuary in Wichita.
Survivors include his wife, Flossie; a son, Gary of Belle Plaine; a daughter, Connie Endsley of Wichita; two brothers, Gerald of Wichita and Clyde of Superior, Colo.; sisters, Irene and Edna of Augusta; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Wichita Baptist Tabernacle.

Harold F. Kirch funeral Thursday
Harold F. Kirch, 74, of Augusta died Monday, Aug. 15, at his home.
The service will be 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 18, morning at 10 in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel here. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born to Emmet and Cecil (Schultz) Kirch on Jan. 17, 1914 in Augusta.
Harold is a retired Mobil Oil refinery worker, a retired fire department volunteer and a member of the Sportsman Club in Sun City, Ariz.
He was preceded in death by two former wives, Catherine and Mary, and his brother George.
Survivors include his wife, Pansy; a step-son, John Watkins of Augusta; two daughters, Linnette Pugh of Harrisonville, Mo., and Elizabeth Rice of Wamego; two step-grandchildren and four grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to the Butler County Hospice.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has the arrangements.
