Burial for Forrest Bush set for Saturday
Forrest Wayne Bush, 76, of Augusta died Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Graveside services will be Saturday afternoon at 1:30 in the Benton Cemetery. Friends may call Dunsford Funeral Home for wiewing today and until 11:30 a.m. Saturday.
He was born July 8, 1912 to Walter M. and Maude (Burr).
His wife Daisy (Rice) preceded him in death in 1987.
Survivors include his daughter, Janet Molinary of Orlando, Fla.; sister Gerturde Wheeler of Augusta; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Sister of two from Douglass died
Letha May Heckard, 90, of Canton and sister of Verla Baily and Lois Mauk both of Douglass, died Wednesday, Sept. 21.
Her service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Canton Christian Church.
Other survivors, besides her sisters from Douglass, are sons, Rudy Junior of Canton, James of McPherson; daughters, Marjorie Bandy of Canton, Peggy Soukup
of Pampa, Texas; brother, Raymond Bailey of Great Bend; 12 grandchildren; and 27 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Canton Christian Church.

Former Augustan died Thursday
Daniel A. Doyle, 82, of Benedict and a former Augusta resident, died Thursday, Sept. 22.
Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at De Vorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary.
He was born in rural Butler Couty on May 7, 1906 to John and Lottie Warboy Doyle.
Dan was a retired Beech Aircraft employee and oil field worker. He was a member of the Assembly of God Church, Masonic Lodge 403 and Eastern Star 409.
Survivors include his wife, Lucille E.; son, Roger O. of Portland, Ore.; daughter, Pat Sanborn of Augusta; stepson, John E. Houston of Claremore, Okla.; stepdaughter, Beth Rimel of Fredonia; brother, Lawrence of Claflin; sisters, Grace Davis of Wichita, Roseanna Larrick of Topeka, Madge Edwards, Katherine Scott, both of Augusta; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society.

Burner of Latham died at St. Joseph
Robert M. Burner, 62, of Latham, died Sunday, Sept. 25, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.
Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Latham Christiam Church and the burial will be in the Latham Cemetery.
He was born on June 8, 1926 to Oscar and Adeline Burner.
Survivors include his sons, Robert Paul of Wichita, James and William both of Latham; daughter, Virginia Uitts of Eureka; sistors, Susan Beckham and Betty Haring both of El Dorado; and 11 grandchildren.

Burial for John Markley is Tuesday
John L. Markley, 91, of Augusta died Sunday, Sept. 25, at the Walnut Valley Nursing Home.
Services will be Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Cumberland Community Church. Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery and Rev. Jack Tomman will officiate.
He was born on May 28, 1897 to Clayton R. and Luella (Wheeler) in Illinois.
On April 10, 1921 he married Pauline Mary (Van Middlesworth) in Augusta. She preceded him in death in 1987.
Survivors include his sons, Lowell of Augusta, John of Norwak, Calif., Jerry of Grand Rapids, Mich.; daughters Alice Winzer of Augusta, Josephine Wimberly of El Dorado; brother Glenn of Augusta; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Memorials have been established with the Cumberland Community Church.

Mother of Andover woman died Friday
Alberta M. Miller, 74, of Greensburg and mother of Carol Brooks of Andover, died Friday, Sept. 23.
Services were today at the First Christian Church in Greensburg.
Other survivors, besides her daughter of Andover, includes her husband, Harvey; son, Jerry of Las Vegas, Nev.; sister Verona Fark of Wichita; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church and the American Diabetes Association, Kansas Affiliate.
