Wednesday, October 12, 1988 Mildred Douglas died at Wesley
Mildred Lucille Douglas, 59, of Augusta died today at Wesley Medical Center.
Services will be Friday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Dunsford Chapel. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery and Rev. Burl Allison will officiate.
On Dec. 1, 1928 she was born to Homer Wolfe and Anna (Bowman) in Osborn, Mo.
Mildred married Kenneth Ray Douglas on June 4, 1947 in Winston, Mo. He survives.
Other survivors, besides her husband, include sons, David of Olathe, Gary of Newton; daughters, Ann Beasley of Apple Valley, Minn., Rita Murrey of Wichita; brothers, Stanley Wolfe of Camden, Mo., Keith Wolfe of Osborn; sisters, Margie Bradford of Osborn, Evelyn Hutton of Ray-town, Mo.; and four grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangement.

Mildred Braden burial Saturday
Mildred Louise Braden, 77, of Augusta died Wednesday, Oct. 12, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.
Services will be Saturday morning at 10 at the Dunsford Chapel. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery and Rev. Jon Grissom will officiate.
She was born on Aug. 4, 1911 in Madison.
On Dec. 24, 1932 Mildred married Charles Braden in Emproia. He survives.
Other survivors include her son, Robert of Burden; brother, Edward Storrer Jr. of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and niece, Sandy Carter of Guymon, Okla.
Her brother, Floyd, preceded her in death.
Mildred is a member of the Eastern Star and the First Christian Church.

‘Bill’ Hanney dies at hospital
Architect William L. “Bill” Hanney, 66, Wichita, died Wednesday, Oct. 12, at the HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral will be 1:30 Friday afternoon, Oct. 14, at the Hillside Christian Church in Wichita with Dr. Thomas J. Norman officiating. A graveside service will be conducted at the Sunset Lawns Cemetery in El Dorado at 3:45 p.m. Friday
He was born Oct. 14, 1921 to James and Laura Parker Hanney.
On Nov. 23, 1944, he and the former Barbara Darnold were maried in El Dorado.
Hanney was senior partner of the Hanney & Associates architectural firm in Wichita as well as a member of the Hillside Christian Church, VFW, and American Institute of Architects.
Survivors include his wife Barbara, of the home; a son, Martin of Wichita; a brother, Roy F. Hanney of Spokane, Wash.; two sisters, Regina Andrew of El Dorado and Mildred Schaible of Sterling, three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Hillside Christian Church. The Broadway Mortuary of Wichita was in charge of arrangements.

Augustan’s mother died yesterday
Patsy M. Seaton, 57, of Wichita and mother of Arthur Charlet of Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 12.
Services will be Saturday, Oct. 15, at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Mortuary.
Other survivors, besides her son from here, include her husband, Everett; son, Patrick Everett of Wichita; daughters, Sandra Sue Tabor of Andover, Diana Dee Gaston, Cindy Beth Farr of Derby; mother, Bertie Estes of Wichita; brother, Joe Cummins of Tulsa; and 10 grandchildren.

Former Douglass resident dies
Geraldine F. (Barnes) Suits, 70, of Alburquerque, N.M. and formerly of Douglass, died Thuesday, Oct. 11.
Graveside services will be Friday at 2 p.m. in the Douglass Cemetery.
Survivors include sons, Billy of Denver, Colo., Harold of Kansas City, Aaron of Salem, Ore.; daughters, Beverly McKinley of Leawood, Sharon of Kansas City, Carol Briscoe of Pueblo, Colo.; mother, Florence Bams of Douglass; sisters, Lois Mitchell of Rose Hill, Laverne Smith of Amarillo, Texas; 14 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Circle High senior, ‘Jay’ Reed, dies
Jason Buck “Jay” Reed, 17, of Benton and a Circle High School senior died Friday, Oct. 14.
His funeral was today at the Palmyra Baptist Church in rural Benton.
Jay was born on May 8, 1971 to Bill and Betty Reed in El Dorado. They survive.
Other survivors include brothers, Duke, Judd both of the home; grandparents, Wilbur C. and Charlotte M. Reed of Benton, Ed and Opal Irean Zimmerman of El Dorado.
Memorials have been established with the Palmyra Baptist Church and Circle High School.
