Crash fatal for Michael Johansen
Michael G. Johansen, 37, of rural Augusta, died Thursday, Oct. 13, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
His funeral service was today at Resthaven Mortuary.
He was born in Davenport, Iowa to Russell and Dorothy Johansen on July 28, 1951. They survive.
Other survivors, besides his parents, include sister, Cathie Doubrave of Wichita; stepbrother, Butch Hudson of Augusta; and grandfather, Ted Schleuter.
Memorials have been established with the Ronald McDoanld House, Accent on Kids.
Resthaven Mortuary has the arrangements.

Douglass High grad dies in auto accident
Rebecca J. Pykiet, 18, of Douglass died of injuries suffered in an automobile accident on Saturday, Oct. 15.
Her funeral will be Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Douglass. Officiating will be Rev. Dale Valentine.
She was born on June 23, 1970 in Council Grove to James and Priscilla Pykiet. They survive.
Rebecca is a 1988 graduate of Douglass High School.
Other survivors include brothers, James David of Lindsborg, Aaron Dean, Nathan Paul, both of the home; grandparents, Wanola Pykiet of Allen, and Mr. and Mrs. Warren Williams of Miller.
Memorials have been established with the First Christian Church.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass has the arrangements.

Rural Augustan dies in accident
Ben F. Penn Jr., 34, of rural Augusta died Thursday, Oct. 13, of injuries suffered in an automobile accident.
A memorial service will be held today at 5:30 p.m. at Downing & Lahey Mortuary.
He was born on March 8, 1954 to Ben F. Sr. and Nancy Penn.
Survivors include his wife Floy; daughter, Christina Elizabeth of the home; parents, Ben F. Sr. and Nancy of Wichita; and brother, Dr. Christopher of Kansas City.
Memorials have been established with the Institute for Aviation Research, Wichita State university.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary has the arrangements.
