Graveside service to be Tuesday
Barbara Lucille Bower, 52, of Augusta died Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the Elmwood Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Robert Box.
She was born to C.W. Powers and Roalie (Taylor) on Aug. 16, 1936 in Augusta.
Barbara married Jim Bower on March 21, 1953 in Augusta.
Survivors include her husband, Jim; daughter, Joyce Provencher of Wichita; her mother, Rosalie Powers of Augusta; and brother, Troy Powers of Augusta.
Memorials have been suggested to the Diabetes Association.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Sean McZegle died Saturday
Sean Lafayttte McZegle, the 22-month-old son of Dyane and Nancy McZegle of Clearwater, died Saturday, Oct. 22, at St. Joseph Hospital in Wichita.
Services will be at 2 p.m. in the Dunsford Chapel. The Rev. Miller will officiate and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
Survivors include his parents, Dyane and Nancy; brothers, Nicole and Dyane of the home; sister, Felicia of the home; grandparents, Virginia M. Wright of Wichita and Mary and Dave Hall of Lakeside, Calif.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Martens killed in accident
Butler County Community College industrial arts instructor Dennis R. Martens, 41, of El Dorado, died early this morning due to injuries suffered in an automobile accident on the Kansas Turnpike.
His funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, at the First United Methodist Church in El Dorado. Burial will be in the Buhler Cemetery at 2 p.m.
He was born on July 7, 1939 to Leonard and Linda Dick Martens in Hutchinson.
Survivors include sons, Alex and Jeffery of the home; parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Martens of Buhler; and sister, Sharon Regehr of Inman.
Dennis joined the BCCC faculty in 1966.
Memorials have been suggested to the Hebron Mennonite Church in Buhler.

Sean L. McZegle service today
A funeral service for 22-month-old Sean L. McZegle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dyane E. McZegle of Clearwater, was held this afternoon at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta. Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
McZegle died Saturday, Oct.
22, when he fell into a fence post hole in his backyard of his home.
He was born Dec. 29, 1986 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
In addition to his parents, he leaves a brother, Dyane of the home, two sisters, Nicole and Felicia, also of the home, and grandparents, Virginia Wright of Wichita, Mary and Dave Hall of Lakeside, Calif.

Canfield’s mother died on Monday
Katherine (Canfield) Farmer,
77, of Hutchinson and mother of Frank S. Canfield of Leon, died Monday, Oct. 24.
Graveside services will be Thursday at 11:30 a.m. in the Fairlawn Cemetery.
She was born on April 7, 1911 to Will R. and Gertrude (Phillips) Crow in Hutchinson.
Survivors, besides her son from Leon, include son, William R. Canfield of Hutchinson; sister, Helen A. Smith of Hutchinson, Josephine King of Florence, Ariz.; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-granchildren.
Johnson and Sons Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Douglass man died at age 93
David O. Fivecoate, 93, of Douglass died Sunday, Oct. 23.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian Church.
On July 25, 1895 he was born to William and Melinda (Conklin) Fivecoate in Hamburg, Iowa.
David married Opal on July 12, 1920 in El Dorado. She survives.
Other survivors include son,
Wayne of Houston; daughters, Wanda McCullah of Redding, Calif., Imogene Phillips of Houston; sister, Celesta Headley of Nebraska; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
