Russell burial set for Saturday
Pearl M. Russell, 82, of Wichita and mother of Elsie Shinkle of Augusta and Lola Landis of Rose Hill, died Wednesday, Nov. 9.
Her services will be at 10 Saturday morning at De Vorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary. Burial will be at 2 p.m. in the Southlawn Cemetery in Severy. Officiating will be Pastors Phil Morris and Don Carper.
Pearl was born to William Franklin and Mary Ellen (Haney) Mead.
Other survivors, besides her daughters, include sons, Charles F. of Albany, Ore., Bill Cotton of Mulvane; sister, Alice Freeman of Los Angeles; 23 grandchildren; and 50 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to Hyde Park United Methodist Church.
De Vorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary has the arrangements.
Graveside service held for Jennings
A graveside service was held Tuesday, Nov. 8, at the Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee, Okla., for Doris Faye Jennings, 62, of Augusta.
Mrs. Jennings died Sunday, Nov. 6, at an Oklahoma City hospital.
She was born July 15, 1926 in Dale, Okla., to Scott and Effie Massengill Blackwell.
Mrs. Jennings worked for 20 years at Beech Aircraft in Wichita.
Survivors include a daughter, Sarah of Augusta; a brother, Maurice Blackwell of Shawnee; two sisters, Mary Jo Lackey of Trinidad, Texas, and Bonnie Waldrop of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Zera Haskin, 96, former Augustan, died Tuesday, Nov. 8.
Services are pending.
Survivors include her daughters, Verdelle Fisher of Augusta, Hazel Upton of Texas; sons, Darrell and Bruce both of Texas, Charles of Douglass, Howard of Albany, N.Y.; 28 grandchildren; and 54 great-grandchildren.
Her husband, George H., preceded her in death in 1954 and her son, Robert, in 1980.
