Berner’s sister died on Sunday
Ruth I. (Berner) Mayne, 67, of Wichita and sister of Leon Berner of Augusta, died Sunday, Dec. 4.
There was a memorial service today at Resthaven Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors include her daughter, Janice Kieffer of Haysville; sisters, Rose Reisch of Ponca City, Okla., Dorothy Houston, Alma Tomlin, both of Monterey, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

Augustan’s mother buried Monday
Myrtice Irene Leimer, 89, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and mother of Glenn Karl Leimer of Augusta, died Friday, Dec. 2.
Her funeral was Monday, Dec.
5, in Oklahoma City.
She was born Dec. 10, 1898 in Beemer, Neb., to John and Martha Liermann.
On Sept. 2, 1920 she was united in marriage to the Rev. Karl S.L. Leimer. He preceded her in death.
Other survivors include sons, Karolus Stuart of Norman, Okla., and Gerold Larry of Oklahoma City; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to the Lutheran Hour.
Capitol Hill Funeral Home in Oklahoma City has the arrangements.

Mary A. Morrison funeral tomorrow
Mary Ann Morrison, 48, of Douglass, died Monday, Dec. 5.
Her services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 7, at Lakeview Cemetery.
Survivors include her brother, Robert of Wichita.
Lakeview Mortuary has the arrangements.

Services pending for Wanda Wendt
Wanda Louise Sowyers Wendt, of Augusta, died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her services are pending with Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Okla.
She was born May 27, 1930 in Ramona, Okla, to Roy K. Symonds and Dorothy Ellen King Symonds Millhouse.
Survivors include one son, Gary W. Sowyers of Euless, Texas; daughter, Stella Borger of Claremore, Okla.; mother, Dorothy Millhouse of Ramona; sisters, Ardith Willis of Eugene Ore., Betty McMillen of Ramona, Nancy Kelley of Pawhuska, Okla; four grandchildren, Michelle and Kim Sowyers of Augusta, and Autum and Misty Borger of Claremore.
She was preceded in death by her father and one brother.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta Medical Complex.

Augustan’s brother burial Saturday
Jewell (Joe) Franklin Maness, 68, of Shell Knob, Mo. and brother of Gene Maness of Augusta, died Tuesday.
His services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Resthaven Mortuary.
Other survivors, besides his brother from here, include his wife, Mildred; sons, Russell D. Irion of Shell Knob, Ronald L. Irion of Wichita; brother, Ed of Tonganoxie; sisters, Bea Dawson, Velda Dawson, both of Oklahoma City, Donna Bell of Wichita; and four grandchildren.

Jessie Worrell died Saturday
Jessie Ellen Worrell, 90, of Augusta died Saturday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Dunsford Chapel.
She was born March 18, 1898 to Joseph and Anna Phillips in Augusta.
Survivors include two sons, Normand Pendergraft of Granada Hills, Calif., Phillips Worrell of Sedalia, Mo.; daughters, Floraine Lambert of Wichita, Lucille Ramon of Seattle, Wash., Wanda Cole of Winfield; and 14 grandchildren.
Jessie, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, was preceded in death by her husbands, Louie Pendergraft and Clayton Worrell.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Former Augustan passed away Friday
Mary Ellen Simpson, 72, formerly of Wichita died Friday, Dec. 9, in Athens, Ala.
Her services will be Wednesday afternoon at 2 in the Dunsford Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Burl Allison, Jr. and the burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born Sept. 26, 1916 in Tulsa, Okla, to Harry Dwight and Clara Uhl.
On July 3, 1941 she married Norval Simpson in Wichita.
Her husband, Norval, survives.

Services for Augustan’s father set for Tuesday
Homer N. Caselman, 66, of Fall River and father of Kathleen Nelson of Augusta, died Saturday.
There will be a rosary at 7 p.m. tonight and a service Tuesday at 3 p.m. at Cochran Mortuary in Wichita.
Other survivors, besides his daughter from here, include his wife, Rhonda; son, Charles of Wichita; daughter Frances Fields of Wichita; sisters, Anna Mary Ray, Dorothy Garrett and Sue Skinner, all of Buffalo, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
Cochran Mortuary has the arrangements.
