Kohman’s mother died Wednesday
Margaret Coburn Lambert, 87, of Hartshorne, Okla. and mother of Joan Kohman of Augusta, died Wednesday, Jan. 25, at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Her services will be 9:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 27, at Dunsford Chapel with burial at 2 p.m. in the Horton (Kan.) Cemetery.
She was born June 19, 1901 in Krebs, Okla. to John Sidney and Elizabeth Chalmers (Russell) Williams.
On July 31, 1927 she was united in marriage to Conway Lambert in Hartshorne. He preceded her in death in 1957.
In addition to the daughter here, she leaves a brother, Jay L. Williams of Freeport, Texas; sister, Helen Sandlin of Hartshorne; four grandchildren, Susan Fellows, Bette Regier, both of Augusta, Nancy Prohn of Valley Center, E.J. Kohman III of Manhattan; and three great-grandsons.
One daughter, Helen Marie Lambert, preceded her in death.

Augustan’s mother died last Friday
Alice Lillian (Harness) Wesbrook, 91, of Arkansas City, died Friday, Jan. 20, at Memorial Hospital.
Her services were held Tuesday, Jan. 23, at Arkansas City with burial in the Maple City Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 5, 1897 near Udall to Felix Green and Effie Augustia (Shoup) Harness.
On March 14, 1917 she was united in marriage to Sterling (Joe) Wesbrook in Winfield. He preceded her in death on April 8, 1973.
Survivors include sons, Clifford of Newkirk, Okla., Gilbert of Tyler, Texas; daughters, Margaret Wesbrook, Ruth Hestand, Ruby Stafford, all of Arkansas City, Aliene Bolton of Augusta; 15 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; niece, Mildred Smith of Augusta; and one sister.
Preceding her in death were three brothers, four sisters and two grandchildren.

Hazel D. Hinshaw died on Friday
Hazel Dollie (Dagel) Hinshaw, 87, of Rose Hill and retired teacher, Cox Grocery bookkeeper and cashier and homemaker, died Fir-day, Jan. 27.
Her services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Rose Hill Friends Church.
She was born March 31, 1901 near Rose Hill to Williams and Melissa (Dennett) Dagel.
She was united in marriage to Lowell Hinshaw on May 4, 1921 in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1984.
Survivors include son, Galen of Emporia; daughter, Oreta Burnham of Ariatao, Philippines; 15 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Rose Hill Friends Church.

Kyle Pinkerton burial Thursday
Kyle Erwin Pinkerton, 34, of Douglass died Sunday, Jan. 29.
His servies will be 2 p.m Thursday, Feb. 2, at the Douglass Cemetery. Rev. Dale Valentine of the First Christian Church will officiate.
He was born Aug. 9, 1954 in Wichita to Robert and Rita (Morrison) Pinkerton.
Survivors include one son, Jonathan, daughter, Jennifer, both of the home; father, Robert of Douglass; mother, Rita Hamilton of Maize; step-mother, Delila of Douglass; brother, Kenton Virgil of Wichita; sister, Lori Raber of Wichita; half brother, Tracy Criman of Wichita; and grandmother, Mable Smith of Oklahoma City.
Memorials have been suggested to the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Wednesday funeral for Arthur Pickrell
Arthur L. Pickrell, 100, of Leon and retired farmer, died Monday, Jan. 30, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, at the Dunsford chapel with Rev. Clyde Stockton officiating. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
He was born to William and Thursia (Holt) Pickrell on Sept. 6, 1888 in Leon.
He was united in marriage to Charlotte Laws on Feb. 3, 1909 and on Sept. 6, 1954 he married Pansy Brown. Both preceded him in death.
Survivors include half-brother, Floyd Tong of Leon; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and three great-greatgrandchildren.
Preceding him in death were both sons, Harold and Wayne, and one great-grandchild.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Arthur Pickrell is of Augusta not Leon as published in yesterday’s Gazette.
Also survivor daughter-in-law, Althea Pickrell of Colorado Springs, Colo. was inadvertently left out.
