Tuesday, February 21, 1989
Fillmore died Friday, funeral today
Augusta city councilman Glenn Richard Fillmore, 62, died at home Friday, Feb. 17. Fillmore was one of two city council repesentatives from Ward I which is generally the south part of the community.
His funeral service was held today at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel here. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery with Rev. Robert Ely of the Riverside Christian Church in Wichita officiating.
He was born Aug. 2, 1926 to Ralph and Hazel (Reeves) Fillmore in Augusta.
On Dec. 28, 1947, he was united in marriage to Beulah Applegate in Augusta.
Suriviors include his wife, Beulah; sons Glenn Jr. of Arlington, Va., Gary and Robert both of Augusta, Michael of the home;
daughters, Laurie Cummings of Wichita, Diane Moeder of Wichita, Theresa Fillmore of the home; three grandchildren, Karrie Fillmore, Derek Cummings, and Tamara Fillmore.
One son, Michael Sr., preceded him in death as well as two brothers.
Fillmore served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a retired Wichita Police Department captain and security director for Towne East, was a member of the Mystic Tie Consistory, Shrine, Elks Lodge and was the president of the Rotary Club.
Memorials are suggested to the
Butler County Hospice and the American Cancer Society.

Services pending for Fred McCalla
Fred McCalla, formerly of Augsuta died in Missoula, Mont. today.
His services are pending.
He was born to Sabra and Cecil McCalla on Dec. 27, 1919
On Feb. 4, 1939 he was united
in marriage to Flora King. They have one son, Cecil McCalla of Missoula and three grandchildren.

Andover woman’s sister died Tuesday
Marguerite “Margie” (Hart) Krase, 76, of Norwich and sister of Dorothy Carver of Andover, died Tuesday.
Her services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Trinity United Christian Church in Cheney.
Other survivors, besides her sister from Andover, include sons, Dick of Norwich, Mike of Hutchinson, Steve of Meridian, Miss.; brother, Don Hart of Wichita; sisters, Beth Krase of Murdock, Lillian Seaton of Wichita; and three grandchildren.
Wulf Mortuary in Garden Plain has the arrangements.

Service for Graves at Dunsford chapel
Warren Milburn Graves, 67, of Wichita died Wednesday at home.
His services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Dunsford chapel. Burial will be in the Dunlap Cemetery and Rev. Bob Stone and Reb. Don Seel will officiate.
He was born on Oct. 12, 1921 in Montgomery Co., Ark. to Freddy and Beulah Graves
In Aug. 1969 he was united in marriage to Amelia Mae Wergin in Wichita.
Survivors include his wife, Amelia; daughters, Esther Mae and Ruth Mae Graves of the home; brothers, Vestil of Glen-wood, Ark.; and four sisters.
Graves, a retired evangelist, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Fred McCalla services Tuesday
Services for Fred McCalla, a retired Texaco employee, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Federated Church in Entiat, Wash.
Telford Chapel of the Valley Funeral Home in Wenatchie, Wash. is in charge of the arrangments.
Memorials are to the Valley Christian School Scholarship Fund, 2526 Sunset Lane, Missoula, Mont. 59801.
Mrs. McCalla’s address is 2400 Old Fort Road 215, Missoula, Mont., for those who would like to send a card.
