Services pending for David Wear
David Wear, 81, of Mission and formerly of Augusta, died Sunday.
His services are pending.
Survivors include daughters, Sandra Trebbe, Shirley Bowman of Augusta; and son, Ray Wear of Mission.
Rose Hill woman died Saturday
Ruby F. Dyer, 65, of Rose Hill and homemaker, died Saturday.
Her services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Messiah Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, John; sons, John Doshier of Rose Hill, Jimmy Doshier of Wichita; daughters, Norma Thompson of Byron, Ga., Debbie Smith of Wichita, Cathy Glover of Rose Hill; brother, Aaron Smith of
Acampo, Calif.; sisters, Bennie DeSilo of Pomona beach, Fla., Ann Oldham of Dover, Del., Nellie Lowry of Jenre, Calif., Debbie Pettycord of Poway, Calif.; and six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Messiah Baptist Church.
Broadway Mortuary in Wichita has the arrangements.
Burial in Elmwood for Vess E. Martin
Vess Earl Martin, 62, of Augusta, died Friday, Feb. 24, at home.
Services will be held at Dunsford Chapel on Tuesday afternoon at 2 with Rev. Frank Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born to John and Clara (Baker) Martin on Sept. 19, 1926 in Utah.
On Dec. 15, 1978 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Ann Nelson in Derby. She survives.
Other survivors include stepsons, Robert Workman of Wichita, Maurice Workman of Augusta; daughters, Sharon Martin, Earlene McCormick, both of California, Denise and Cherise Martin, both of Vidor, Texas; step-daughters, Brenda Metcalf of Augusta, Debbie Griffin of Hinkley, Minn.; brother, Jack Martin of Denver, Colo.; 4 grandchildren; and seven step-grandchildren.
One sister, Mary Robinson, preceded him in death.
Martin, who served in the U.S. Navy during World War II, was an electrician and a member of the Church of the Nazarene.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta has the arrangements.

His services were held today at the Dunsford chapel. The Rev. Frank Miller officiated and burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born to John and Clara (Baker) Martin on Sept. 19, 1926 in Utah.
On Dec. 15, 1978 he was united in marriage to Cynthia Ann Nelson in Derby. She survives.
Other survivors include his son, Randy Martin of Vidor, Texas; step-sons, Robert Workman of Wichita, Maurice Workman of Augusta; daughters, Sharon Martin and Earlene McCormick, both of California, Denise and Cherise Martin, both of Vidor; stepdaughters, Branda Metcalf of Augusta, Debbie Griffin of Hinkley, Minn.; brother, Jack Martin of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Martin, an electrician and member of the Church of the Nazarene, served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

Tom Whorton, 71, of Augusta and a retired oil rigger, died Saturday.
His services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Quiring-Old Mission Mortuary.
He was born to Thomas and Lizzie (Ensbury) Whorton on June 22, 1917 in Trenton, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Margie A.; step-sons, Chad Worton of Wichita, Paul Plank of Augusta; step-daughters, Darsey Natale of Augusta, Beth Balias of Palm Springs, Calif., Shannon Gosch of Park City; and eight grandchildren.

LaBouff funeral set for Thursday
E. Pauline (Anderson) LaBouff, 63, of Wichita, stepmother of Barbara Patterson of Augusta, and sister of Roy Anderson of Leon, died Monday.
Her funeral service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Broadway Mortuary.
Survivors include her husband, Carl, step-son Richard of Kansas City, step-daughters Barbara Patterson of Augusta and Judy Jambrek of Waukasha, Wis., brothers Roy Anderson of Leon, Jack Anderson of Chickashaw, Okla., and Lloyd Anderson of Wichita; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to Hospice of Wichita.

Edna Lucas, 95, of Anthony and formerly of Leon, passed away Tuesday afternoon.
Her services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Carlson Funeral Home in El Dorado. Rev. Burl Allison will officiate and burail will be in the Blankenship Cemetery.
Survivors include sister, Ann Morrison of Girard, Nell Gentry of Augusta; and numerous nieces and nephews.
