Father Dies In Michigan
John Weiss 83, Gladwin, Mich., father of Barbara Eckert Of Augusta, died Tuesday in Galdwin.
His service will be at St. John's Lutheran Church in Galdwin Aug. 13. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
He was born Dec. 9, 1898.
He married Lydia Fisch in 1925. She preceded him in
He married Isabelle Sabins in 1980. She survives.
Survivors include a son, John Weiss of Warren, Mich.; two other daughters, Dorothy
Wilson of Alhambra Calif., and Margaret Butkovich of Williamsburg, Mich., and 11 grandchildren.

J.B. Hewlett Dies At 74
Julian B. Hewlett, 74, Wichita, a retired Lunger’s of Augusta Furniture Store salesman and father of Richard Julian Hewlett of Douglass, died Tuesday at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Mortuary. Dr. Chester Osborn and Rev. Terry Murry will officiate and burial will be in the Lakeview Garden Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 26, 1907 in St. Louis, Mo.
He married Leola Marshall. She survives.
He was a member of the College Hill Methodist Church, a Mason and a Moose.
Other survivors include sons, Jeffrey Thomas Hewlett, Randall Robin Hewlett, Bryon Hikolai Hewlett, Danny Darryl, all of Wichita, Gilbert Lee Hewlett of Tyler, Texas, David Jean Hewlett of Garland, Texas; daughters, Nanninette Christine Ralph, Madelaine Francine Miller, Annabel Lisalu Dinduska, all of Wichita, Roslind Kathlean Egidy of Greeley; 27 grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

Service Set Saturday For Isaac Russell
Isaac T. Russell, 71, Douglass, a retired farmer, died Wednesday at the Colonial Manor nursing home.
Services are set for 3 p.m. Saturday at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral chapel in Douglass. Burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
Isaac Russell was born Oct. 5, 1910, near Douglass to Harry W. Russell and Elizabeth Bannon. On May 12, 1933, he married Ava Allene Stanley in Douglass. The lived in and around Douglass all their lives. She died Aug. 1, 1981.
Russell was a member of the Methodist church in Douglass.
He is survived by two sons, Merlin Keith Russell, Douglass and Clifford N. Russell, Udall;
two brothers, Eugene W. Russell, Route 1, Derby; and Merle Russell, Belle Plaine; five sisters: Nellie Nave, Udall; Dorothy Johnson, Twenty-nine Palms, Calif.; Fern Morgan, Sun City, Ariz., Estelle Backstrom, Dallas; and June Whitted, Derby; and three grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Athritis Foundation.
M.H. Henn Dies At 95
Magdalena H. Henn, 95, Leon, died Wednesday at Knudson Manor Nursing Home in El Dorado.
Her service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John’s Catholic Church in El Dorado. Rev. Father Leroy Linnebur will officiate and burial will be in Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was born Nov. 3, 1886 in New Berlin, Ill., to Joseph and Elizabeth Bergschneider Frank.
She married Anthony W. Henn Jan. 17, 1912 in New Berlin. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include two sons, Carl Henn of El Dorado and Raymond Henn of Yakima, Wash.; a daughter, Elizabeth Parsons of Howard; a brother, Lee Frank of New Berlin, Ill.; a sister, Myrtle Edington of Springfield, Ill.; 23 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
