Brother Dies In Colorado
John “Jack” Stephens, 68, Sterling, Colo., brother of Ed Stephens of Augusta, died Friday.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Chaney-Walters Funeral Home in Sterling.
A memorial has been established with the Cryptic Masons Philanthropy Fund.
He formerly resided in Kansas City, Kans., Arkansas City, Manhattan, Arma, Moran and Wichita. He was a retired athletic coach and school administrator.
Other survivors include his wife, Nell of the home; sons, John D. Stephens of Mustang, Okla., James Stephens of Sterling; a daughter, Jacque Good of Cody, Wyo.; another brother, Kenneth Stephens of Chula Vista, Calif., and sisters, Ethyin Stephens of Wichita, Eva Lamphere of Baldwin, Mo. and Belle Waite of Houston.

Rites Pending For E. Cotton
Rites are pending for Elmer Cotton, 94, Leon.
Cotton died yesterday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
The Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Graveside Rites For B. Rinehard
Billie Rinehard, 80, Buena Vista, Colo., formerly of Augusta, died Thursday in Buena Vista.
Graveside services are at 10 a.m. tomorrow at the Brownlow Cemetery, southeast of Leon.
She was born Jan. 2, 1902 near Keighley to Carl and Edith Semisch.
She married R.D. Bailey June 13, 1924.
On June 3, 1933, she married Roy Rinehard. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Survivors include a daughter, Mavise Dennett of Buena Vista; a sister, Opal Doyle of Benedict; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass is in charge of arrangements.

Hartenbower Dies At 89
Nina Hartenbower, 89, Douglass, died Monday, Aug. 23, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Her service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass. Rev. Gary Bowie will officiate and burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Kansas Chapter of the American Heart Association.
She was born May 2, 1893 to W.D. and Ruth Donhan Beatty.
She married Fred Hartenbower Feb. 23, 1910 in Douglass. He preceded her in death in
1949,
She was a member of the Douglass First Christain Church.
Survivors include a grandson, Fredrick Hartenbower of Beloit; a granddaughter, Jan Hartenbower of Kansas City, and a great-grandchild.
