George Busch died on Friday
George A. Busch, 89, of Augusta, died Friday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Services for the retired Boeing employee, farmer, and Spring Township employee were today at Dunsford chapel with Rev. Arnold Aschbrenner officiating. Burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Sept. 2, 1899 to Dietrich and Christina (Kenck) Busch in Concordia, Mo.
On May 21, 1933 he was united in marriage to Pearl Ina Braddy in Moline.
Busch, a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, is survived by his wife, Pearl; two daughters, Margaret Brunson of Florissant, Mo., Marilyn Seymour of Augusta; brother, Irven Busch of Wichita; sister, Margaret Busch of Higginsville, Mo.; and six grandchildren.
Memorials may be given to the Augusta Christ Lutheran Church.

Former Augustan died in Texas
Vernon Carl McDuffee, 69, of San Benito, Texas, died Saturday, May 6, at Valley Baptist Hospital.
No services were held for the former Augustan that moved to San Benito 13 years ago after retiring from Beech Aircraft.
Survivors include his wife, Chrystelle; daughter, Marcena Rippy of Houston, Texas; sister, Mrs. Mel Woodward of Homeland, Calif.; brother, Clint McDuffee of Conyers, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Mary C. Turpin services Saturday
Mary C. Turpin, 57, of Augusta and secretary at Jim’s Refrigeration, died today at Knutson Manor in El Dorado.
A rosary will be at Dunsford chapel on Friday at 7 p.m. Her serives will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. James Catholic Church with Father Jim Billinger officiating. Burial will follow the services at Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born to Joseph and Jeanette (Harrington) Dussault on Jan. 31, 1932 in Horton.
On Sept. 4, 1954 she was united in marriage to James Turpin in Long Beach, Calif.
Survivors include her husband, James; sons, David, Terry Roush, both of Augusta, Kent Turpin of Wichita; daughter, Karen Mitchell of Augusta; brother, John Dussault of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Patricia Haupt of San Diego, Theresa Dussault, Janet Antonson, both of Denver, Colo.; and 10 grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the St. James Catholic Church.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.

Andover woman died Wednesday
Rosa B. Ramu, 98, of Andover and retired registered nurse, died Wednesday.
A memorial service will be 5 p.m. Sunday at the Jehovah Kingdom Hall west of Augusta on Highway 54, following
cremation.
Survivors include sons, Don of Andover, Julio S. of Carlstadt, N.J.; sister, Mable Shepherd of Barbados, West Indies; and five grandchildren.

Ruth Hodges services held
Services were held Thursday at the First Asembly of God Church in Ponca City, Okla, for Ruth Hodges of Douglass and former Ponca City resident.
She died Monday, May 8, at Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield at the age of 98.
Survivors include daughters, Sheril Jones of Douglass, Lorene Gingerich, Ruth Hermes, both of Ponca City; sons, Francis Hodges of Douglass, Kenneth Hodges, Clyde Hodges, both of Ponca City; 20 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; 18 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
