Lyle J. Wallace died Wednesday
Augustan Lyle John Wallace, 62, died Wednesday, June 14.
Graveside services for the retired Beech Aircraft Corp. employee were today at Lake-view Cemetery in Wichita.
On Jan. 15, 1927 he was born to Roy L. and Lou Wallace.
He leaves behind his wife, Marjorie; sons, Willard of Garden City, Kevin of Jacksonville, Fla.; daughter, Jeanine Cales of Tonkawa, Okla.; mother, Lou of Winfield; brother, Ward of Lakeland, Fla.; sisters, Lorene Hawkins of Winfield, Darlene Harper of Arkansas City; nine grandchildren; one step-grandchild; and
three great-grandchildren.
Memorials are to the Andover Church of Christ.
Lakeview Funeral Home in Wichita has the arrangements.

Kittle’s mother died on June 13
Ida A. Holmes, 88, of Plains and mother of Augustan Ruth Kittle, died Tuesday, June 13.
Her funeral service was Friday, June 16, at the Plains United Methodist Church.
Survivors, besides her daughter from here, include son, Howard of Plains; daughters, Lila Jones of Tulsa, Okla., Joyce George of Wichita, Lois Packard of Plains, Alice Sinclair of Cimarron; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Memorials have been suggested to the Plains United Methodist Church and the Plains Community Library.
Miller Mortuary in Liberal was in charge of the arrangements.

Saturday funeral for Velma Williams
Augustan Mardell Boone’s mother, Velma Elizabeth Williams, died at the age of 87 on Wednesday, June 14.
Funeral services for the homemaker were held Saturday, June 17, at the Toronto Christian Church.
Other survivors include daughter, Mary Jane Town of Toronto; sister, Hazel Rice of Topeka; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
Campbell Funeral Home in Eureka had the arrangements and memorials are to the Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders Association.
Nelson’s father died on Thursday
William R. Nelson Jr., 63, retired Bushton High School and LeCompton High School teacher and coach, died Thursday, June 15.
The funeral for Augustan Wade Nelson’s father was held Friday, June 16, at the Bushton Methdoist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Dola; sons, Dennis R. of Whitewater, Wade A. of Augusta; daughter, Pamila J. Barnes of Battlefield, Mo.; sister, Wanda Seery of Elk City; and four grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association, the Bushton Scholarship Fund, and the First United Methodist Church.

Services pending for infant boy
Services are pending for Johnathan Wesley Doty, infant son of Stephanie Unger of Wichita and Gary Doty of Andover, who died Saturday.
Other survivors include grandparents, Ruth Burton of Wichita, Florine Doty, Gary D. Doty Sr., both of Andover; great-grandparents, Nancy B. King of Wichita, Evelyn Corchran, Ernest and Dorothy Doty, all of Great Bend; and great-great-grandmother, Cathern B. Metzger of Andover.

Charles Berger died yesterday
Charles Edwin Berger, 57, of rural Augusta, died Monday, June 19, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Services for the retired Boeing construction electrician will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford chapel in Augusta. Burial will follow the service at the Andover Cemetery.
He was born to John W. and Ina M. Berger on Dec. 18, 1931 in Douglass.
On Oct. 15, 1954 he married Juanita (Gerry) Goucher in Wichita.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita; sons Jonothan C. of Wichita, Carey P. of Lawrence; daughters, Shari G. Storm of El Dorado; sister, Laura M. Weidman of Winfield; and eight grandchildren, Tori Dorsey, Joshua and Jeremy Berger, Christopher J. Berger, Steven, Jacob, Dustin, and Greg Storm.
One daughter, Cynthia Lou Dorsey, and one grandchild, Tami Dorsey, preceded him in death.
Memorials are to the American Heart Association.
