Leon woman’s father died on Saturday
Erwin “Red” Perkins, 71, of Joplin, Mo., and father of Darlene Potter of Leon, died Saturday.
Services for the retired Wichita Eagle-Beacon maintenance employee were today at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Coffeyville.
Other survivors, besides his daughter from Leon, include his wife, Lillian; son, Sonny of Wichita; daughters, Sherry Don-ham of Maize, Angela Marler of South Carolina, Anita Leonhardt of Bend, Ore., Barbara Isham of Wichita; step-son, Harry Hanna, step-daughter, Joann Speer, both of Joplin; brothers, Harold, Nelson, sister, Dottie Sokul, Gladys Hunt, all of New Hampshire; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Hudge-Lewis Funeral Home in Webb City, Mo. is in charge of the arrangements.

Lloyd G. Deaton services Thursday
Lloyd George Deaton, 72, of 2009 Cron in Augusta, died Monday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Deaton, a retired Mobil Pipeline dispatcher, will be buried at Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Wichita on Thursday at 11 a.m.
Survivors include his wife, Vera of the home; son, Don of Bloomington, Ind.; daughter, Sharon Won of Alameda, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Douglass woman died on Tuesday
Phyllis P. (Duryea) Martin, 66, a homemaker of Douglass, died Tuesday.
Services will be at the Douglass Christian Church on Friday at 2 p.m. with burial following at the Douglass Cemetery.
She was born to Glen and Luda (Abbott) Duryea on Nov. 23, 1921 in Douglass.
On June 10, 1939 she married Marvin Martin in Newkirk, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, Marvin; daughters, Dianne Clark of Douglass, Connie Jean Boyles of Mansfield, Texas; brother, Raymond Duryea of Douglass; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Martin, a life-long resident of the area, was a member of the Christian Church, Christian Women’s Fellowship, Rollin Hills EHU, and was a 1939 graduate of Douglass High School.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass Christian Church.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass has the arrangements.

Father of Augustan Richard G. Blue, John D. Blue, 56, of Coffeyville, died Tuesday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Other survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Johnna Antler of Coffeyville; and three grandchildren.
Services arc pending for the Union Pacific Railroad employee of 22 years.
He was born Sept. 27, 1932 to Harry and Ruth Blue.
Ford Funeral Home in Coffeyville is in charge of the arrangements.
