Billy Logston funeral Friday
Billy F. Logston, 62, of Douglass and Trans World Airline machinist, died Tuesday, June 20.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Andover Assembly of God Church.
He was born to William T. and Tanie (Breeden) Logston on June 5, 1927 in Gunter, Texas.
On Feb. 22, 1946 he married Betty Schields in Denison, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; daughter, Candance Gilstrap of Andover; mother, Tanie
of Douglass; brothers, William of Sherman, Texas, Nelvil; sister, Lvella Sharif of Sherman; and two grandchildren.
Logston was a member of the Andover Assembly of God Church and the International Association of Machinists Lodge 1650.
A memorial has been established with the Denton Space School Volunteer Council in Texas.
Miles Memorial Chapel in Winfield has the arrangements.
Augustan’s father dies in hospital
John Delbert Blue, 56, Coffeyville, father of Augustan Rick Blue, died Tuesday, June 20, at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 2 o’clock Friday afternoon, June 23, at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns-Edgcwood Funeral Home in Coffeyville and burial in the Restlawn Memorial Cemetery there.
This employee of Missouri Pacific Railroad was born Sept. 27, 1932 in Kansas City, Mo., as a son of Harry John and Ruth A. Duggins Blue.
He attended schools in Coffeyville and graduated from the Field Kindley High School there in 1950.
Mr. Blue entered the U.S. Air Force after high school graduation and served during the Korean War. He was discharged in 1951.
On Dec. 5, 1952, Blue married the former Betty Clark in a ceremony at Bartlesville, Okla. They made their home in Coffeyville. She also survives.
Mr. Blue held memberships in Trinity United Methodist Church, Keystone Masonic Lodge 102, Mirza Shrine Temple of Pittsburg, Coffeyville Shrine, Fort Scott Consistory, and the United Trasnsportation Union.
In addition to his wife and son, Mr. Blue leaves a daughter, Johnna C. Antle of Coffeyville, and three grandchildren.
Memorials to the White Shrine of Jerusalem at Coffeyville and the Leukemia Society.

Claud Gardner dies at AMCI
Retired farmer Claud Gardner, 85, Augusta, died Friday, June 23, at Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
A funeral service for Mr. Gardner was held today at the First Southern Baptist Church here. Ministers George Goudie and Don Scott officiated and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 9, 1903 in Scotland, Ark., as a son of Simon Pete Gardner and Mary Underwood Gardner.
On Aug. 19, 1925, he married Bertie Hiland. She preceded him in death in 1981.
Survivors include sons, Mac A. of Oklahoma City, Okla., Hy of Orlando, Fla., Jay of Tyler, Texas, and Ted of Seattle, Wash.; daughters Jan G. Siefkes of Wichita and Freda J. Cochran of Wichita; a brother, Virgil Gardner of Anadarko, Okla.; a sister, Hestor Barbee, also of Anadarko; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Dunsford Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
