Augustan’s father died on Monday
Father of Augustan Suzanne Hoge, Gary Charles Watson, 52, of Fredonia, died Monday.
Services for the retired Boeing Military Airplanes electrician will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Downing and Lahey Mortuary.
Other survivors include daughter, Teresa of Wichita; mother, Chelsea Winters of Wichita; brothers, Dennis, Alan, both of Missoula, Mont.; sister, Wilma Hensley of Valley Center; and seven grandchildren.
Memorials are to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Brandon services to be Wednesday
Douglass woman Susan E. Brandon, 95, died Saturday.
She was born as a daughter to John C. McWilliams and Luncinda (Duncan) McWilliams in Douglass on Feb. 9, 1894.
Graveside services for the homemaker will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Douglass Cemetery.
She leaves behind her son, Clayton of Douglass; three grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass has the arrangements.
Grace E. Roads burial Thursday
Augustan Grace Esther Roads, 72, of 347 E. Fifth, died today at St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
Services for the homemaker will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Dunsford chapel with Rev. Max Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow the service at Dunlap Cemetery.
She was born to Clyde G. Rickards and Martha G. (Fent) Richards on May 13, 1917 in rural Augusta.
On May 28, 1935 she married Everett L. Roads in Wichita. He preceded her in death in 1977.
She leaves her son, Leroy of Wellington; daughters, Virginia Olsthoon of Haysville, Pansy Brock of Springfield, Mo.; brothers, Eldon Rickards of Douglass, Lester Rickards of Windsor, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Roads was a member of the First Christian Church.
McDaniel’s mother died in Wellington
Ramona McDaniel, 60, of Wellington and mother of Augustan Randy McDaniel, died Monday.
Besides Randy she is survived by another son, Steven of Winfield; sister, Reba Finney of Norfolk, Vir.; and three grandsons, Eric, Evan, and Ethan.
Services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church of Wellington with Rev. Alan Lindal officiating.
She was born on Nov. 5, 1928 to Steven and Louise Harrel in Muskogee, Okla.
McDaniel, a member of Alpha Beta sorority and First United Methodist Church, was the librarian at the Wellington Public Library.
Memorials are suggested to the Wellington Public Library building fund.
Frank Funeral Home in Wellington is in charge of the arrangements.
