Robert W. Parish funeral Saturday
Rural Augustan Robert Ward Parish Sr., 56, died Wednesday at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services for the executive director of Boeing Employees Association will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Christian Church with Rev. Max Wolf officiating.
He was born to Thomas O. and Edna Alice (Bethurst) Parish on April 8, 1933 in Belton, Mo.
On Dec. 26, 1954 he was united in marriage to Nancy Katherine Patterson in Marianna, Ark.
Survivors include his wife, Nancy; sons, Robert W. Jr. of
Vidor, Texas, Mark Andrew of Junction City; daughters, Cynthia Kay Hiebert of Augusta, Susan Alice of the home; mother, Edna A. of Columbia, Mo.; brothers, Tom Jr. of Jonesboro, Ark., Timothy H. of Jefferson City, Mo.; sister, Sandra Ann Remmart of Champaign, Ill; and six grandchildren.
Parish, a member of the First Christian Church, served in the United States Navy.
Memorials are to the Wichita Aeronautical Historical Association.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mamie Nelson died at AMCI
Mamie D. Nelson, 81, of 2101 Dearborn in Augusta, died Wednesday at the Augusta Medical Complex.
She was born as a daughter to Arthur J. and Margaret Elizabeth Rhoades on Aug. 7, 1907 in Breman, Ky.
Her services will be Monday at Calcaterra Funeral Home in Sterling Heights, Mich, and she will be buried at White Chapel Cemetery in Troy, Mich.
Survivors include her husband, William H. Nelson; son, Arthur Joe Reno of Warren, Mich.; daughters, Clara Sevier of Augusta, Tina Baxter of Ferndale, Mich.; brothers, Jake Rhoades, Olaf Rhoades, both of Allen Park, Mich., Joe Rhoades of Homer, Mich., John Rhoades of Central City, Ky., Palmer Rhoades of California; and sister, Mary Joe Rabe of Michigan.
Dunsford Funeral Home has the arrangements.
Former Augustan died Tuesday
Theodore ‘Ted” Ralston, 85, of Wichita, father of Augustan Gwen Shaver, and brother of Augustan Harold Ralston, died Tuesday.
Besides his daughter and brother he leaves his wife, Ruby of Wichita; son, Bill Haynes of Wichita; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was born to John Wesley and Jennie (Newman) Ralston on April 5, 1904 in Augusta.
He attended school in Augusta, lived here for many years before moving to Wichita, and on June 29, 1958 he married Ruby Haynes.
Services for the retired Boeing Military Airplanes mechanical repairman will be 1 p.m. Friday at De Vorss Flanagan-Hunt Mortuary and burial is set for 2:30 p.m. at Elmwood Cemetery in Augusta.
Memorials are to the First United Methodist Church in Wichita.

Martin’s mother died on Tuesday
Rural Augustan Elnora Martin's mother, Beulah Nevius of Hutchinson, died Tuesday in a Wichita hospital following heart by-pass surgery.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. in Hutchinson at the Johnson Funeral Home.
She also leaves behind a son, Harold Nevius of Hutchinson.
Memorials are suggested to
the Leisure Years Activity Center in south Hutchinson or the Alter Society of the St. James Catholic Church in Augusta.

Davis funeral at St. James
Cecilia Alice Davis, 88, of Cherry Creek Village Nursing Home in Wichita, died early Saturday morning.
Her services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Jim Billinger officiating and burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery.
She was born to William and Katherine Flarity on June 29, 1901 in Edgerton, Wis.
On May 8, 1920 she married Durrel Hiram Davis in Edgerton. He preceded her in death in 1956.
The former owner of the drive-in theatre at Yates Center is survived by her daughter, Joan Hassel of Toledo, Ohio; two grand-children; and two great-grandchildren.
