Burial at Elmwood for former Augustan
Medical Lodge East resident Donna Katherine Travis, 72, died Saturday in Arkansas City.
The former Augustan is survived by her husband, Ray of Shell Knob, Mo.; sons, Gary of Arkansas City, Jim of Wichita; brother, Herbert Chester of Wichita; and six grandchildren.
She was born on Aug. 29, 1916 to Herbert B. and Ada Chester.
On June 28, 1942 she was united in marriage to Ray Travis in Wichita.
A funeral service for the retired Mulvane school teacher will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel with Rev. James Reed officiating. Burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery.

Douglass woman died on Saturday
Douglass homemaker Fern (White) Bush, 84, died Saturday.
The funeral will be 5 p.m. Wednesday at Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass.
She was born near Douglass on Dec. 27, 1904 to Harry and Mary White.
On Dec. 2, 1926 she married Zacharia Bush in Winfield. He preceded her in death in 1978.
Survivors include her daughter, Betty Bucher of Douglass; half-brother, John Lichlyter of Rock; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials are suggested to the Douglass Public Library carpet fund.

Severance woman died on Tuesday
Mary L. Blanton, 73, of Severance, died Tuesday in her home.
Her services will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. in the Harmon Funeral Home in Troy. Burial will follow the service at Oak Hill Cemetery in Severance.
Survivors include her daughter, Nancy Helmstetter of Denton; two brothers, Phillip Gene Roland of Severance, William
Roland of Troy; three sisters, Nina L. Carter of Davey, Neb., Katheryn R. Wilcox of El Dorado, Phyllis J. Simmons of Severance; two grandsons; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Blanton, a member of the Severance First Christian Church and the George Ebling V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 3292, was born in Troy and lived all of her life in the Severance area.
