Roy C. Tucker funeral today
Roy Charles Tucker, 81, of Augusta, died Friday, Aug. 18, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service was held today at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel and burial was in Elmwood Cemetery,
He was born Aug. 30, 1907 in Eureka to Thomas and Viola Tucker.
On Nov. 21, 1930 he married Beulah Ruth Jack in Independence. She preceded him in death in 1988.
Survivors include sons, Roy Eugene of Augusta, Paul of
Wichita, Lawrence of Emporia, Robert of Wichita; daughters, Elaine Brumhoeber of Oklahoma City, Viola Salisbury of Eads, Colo., Ruth Bertino of Laguna Hills, Calif., Esther Smith of Wichita; 18 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
Tucker, a farmer and former Beechcraft employee, was a member of the Prairie Hills Southern Baptist Church, Mystic Tie Lodge 74, Wichita Consistory, and Midian Shrine.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta was in charge of the arrangements.

‘Wynne’ Rodelander service tomorrow
Augustan Winifred H. “Wynne” Rodelander, 62, died Saturday, Aug. 19, at HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
A funeral service for this former employee of Lytton’s and Social & Rehabilitation Services (SRS) will be in the Dunsford chapel at 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon. Rev. Harold Kieler will officiate and burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born to George and Helen Carlson in McPherson on June 9, 1927.
On July 13, 1946 she was united in marriage to Everett Jack Rodelander in McPherson. He preceded her in death in 1985.
Survivors include her son, John of Nashville, Tenn.; daughter, Jean Mitchell of Augusta; brothers, George of Los Alamos, N.M., Bruce of Ventura, Calif.; sister, Phyllis Schlagel of Longmont, Colo.; and two grandchildren, Niki Gresham, Kristin Mitchell, both of Augusta.
Memorials are to the Rodelander family have been suggested.

Augustan’s sister died on Aug. 17
Sister of Augustan Fern Reser, Margaret M. (Conder) Newman, 81, a homemaker from Ellin-wood, died Thursday, Aug. 17.
Her funeral was held Saturday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ.
Other survivors, besides her
sister from here, include daughters, Mary Blum of Hays, Dixie Pierce of Carrollton, Texas; sister, Louida Stafford of Douglass; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Kimple Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Kenneth Jones’ mother died Friday in Ulysses
E. Frances Jones, 78, mother of Kenneth Jones of Augusta,
died Friday, Aug. 18, at Bob Wilson Memorial Hospital in Ulysses.
Born Frances Short on Nov. 2, 1910 in Birch Tree, Mo.
She married William Lawrence Jones May 30, 1931 in Eminence, Mo.
Survivors include her husband, William of the home; sons, Darrell of Omaha, Neb., Kenneth of Augusta; daughter, Betty Jean Johnston of Wichita; sisters, Mary Patton of Casper, Wyo., Etta Votaw of Riverside Park, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday at the First Baptist Church of Ulysses.

Services at Elmwood for James E. Fisher
James Edward Fisher, 69, of Wichita, died Tuesday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center.
Graveside services will be in the Elmwood Cemetery Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock with Rev. Burl Allison officiating.
He was born to Michael and Alice Fisher on Sept. 25, 1919 in Butler County.
He is survived by his son, James Michael of Los Angeles, Calif.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
