Anna Mae Phelps funeral Monday
Anna Mae Phelps, 91, El Dorado, died Thursday, Oct. 19, in El Dorado.
Her funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 23, at the First Christian Church in El Dorado. Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery.
She was born June 10, 1898 as a daughter of William F. Edgar and Mary Jane Lucas Edgar.
On Oct. 20, 1918, she and Orlin A. Phelps were married in Augusta.
Survivors include two sons, Orland Robert Phelps of Augusta, and Donald Edgar Phelps of Lorques, France; two daughters, Rogene Stevens of Wichita and Treva Murray of El Dorado, six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was a member of the First
Christian Church at El Dorado and Circle 3 of the church.
Memorials to the church have been suggested.
The Carlson Funeral Home at El Dorado has charge of arrangements.

Marlene Millhauser service Wednesday
Marlene Sue Millhauser, 54, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 22, at the St. Francis Regional Medical Center.
Her graveside funeral service has been scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Douglass Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 22, 1935 in El Dorado as a daughter of W.H. Moser and Aldola Moser. The mother survives.
Mrs. Millhauser also leaves a son, Mark of Augusta.
She worked as head of housekeeping at the Kansas Masonic Home in Wichita.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Ralph H. Snyder funeral Friday
Ralph Howard Snyder, 66, rural Augusta, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, at Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral service was held Friday afternoon, Oct. 20, at the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church with Rev. Lynn Davis officiating. Burial was in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
He was born July 16, 1923 in Manley, Iowa, as a son of Ralph Harden Snyder and Gertrude Wendt Snyder. The mother survives.
Snyder was the retired owner-operator of Snyder’s Garage in Wichita.
This veteran of the army air corps was a charter member of Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church and held memberships in North Star Lodge, Boy Scouts of America, Wichita Consistory, Midian Shrine, Who’s Who in America, High 12 Club, and the Society of American Engineers.
Other survivors include two sons, Douglas E. Snyder of Augusta and Donald C. Snyder of Chantilly, Va.; a brother, Van R. Snyder of Atlantic, Iowa; a sister, Dorothy Pierce of Chicago, Ill., and four grandchildren.
Memorials to the Mt. Vernon Presbyterian Church have been suggested.

Helen S. Poage died on Oct. 18
Homemaker Helen S. Poage, 90, Norton, mother of rural Augustan Richard Poage, died Wednesday, Oct. 18, at the Norton County Hospital.
Her funeral was held Saturday, Oct. 21, at the Enfield Funeral Home in Norton. Rev. Jack Kersenbrock officiated and burial was in the Norton Cemetery.
She was born Helen Sybil Hager May 26, 1899 at Dellvale and had been a lifetime resident of the Norton area.
Mrs. Poage was a member of the Jennings (Kan.) Methodist Church, the Jennings Rebekah Lodge and a Red Cross volunteer.
Other survivors include two daughters, Wanda Breiner of Kearney, Neb., and Clair Ann Glenn of Norton; another son, Jerry Poage of Hill City; a sister, Lois Meadows of Concordia, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and three step great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Helen Poage Memorial Fund.
