Constance Ewart dies at hospital
Constance Rae Ewart, 59, El Dorado, died Monday, Oct. 23, at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
Her closed casket funeral service will be 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Oct. 26, in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel here. Rev. Burl Allison will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born April 9, 1930 in Chillicothe, Mo., as a daughter of William Raye Howard and Veda Anna Spears Howard. Her mother survives.
On Sept. 17, 1950, she and Muriel C. Ewart Jr. were united in marriage during a ceremony in Augusta. He survives.
She was a retired computer operator for Metropolitan Life Insurance Co. of Wichita. Mrs. Ewart was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church in El Dorado.
Mrs. Ewart also leaves two sons, Charles Ray Ewart and Randall Howard Ewart, both of El Dorado; a brother, William R. Howard Jr. of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Jacquelin O. Mullins of Augusta, and three grandchildren.
Memorials to the American Diabetes Association have been suggested.

Alene Mikish died in hospital
Homemaker Alene Mikish, 73, of Shawnee, Okla., mother of Richard Mikish of Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 22, in a Tulsa, Okla., hospital.
Her funeral service was held today in the chapel of the Resthaven Funeral Home at Shawnee. Rev. Ted Darling of First Baptist Church in Ozark, Ark., and Rev. Terrell Romberg of Rock Creek Baptist Church in Shawnee, officiated and burial was in the Resthaven Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 2, 1916 in Temple, Okla., as a daughter of William V. and Etta Rice Mashbum.
On Aug. 30, 1936 she married Adolph Mikish in a ceremony at the Rock Creek Baptist Church. He also survives.
Mrs. Mikish was a member of the Rock Creek Baptist Church and taught Sunday School there for more than 30 years.
In addition to her son here and her husband, she leaves two other sons, Gary Mikish of Sapulpa, Okla., and Don of Shawnee; five brothers, Art and John Mashbum, both of Shawnee, Claude Mashbum of Lakewood, Calif., Sterlin Mashbum of Los Alamitos, Calif., and Bud Mashburn of Sierra Vista, Ariz.; three sisters, Ina Patrick of Glenpool, Okla., Helen Borden of Shawnee, and Norma Dunn of Lakewood, Colo.; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
One sister, Ethel Mogridge, preceded her in death.
Memorials to the Rock Creek Baptist Church building fund have been suggested by the family and may be sent in care of the Resthaven Funeral Home, P.O. Box 608, Shawnee, Okla., 74802.

Victor Janzen died Saturday
Victor Janzen, 77, Clearwater, died at his rural farm Saturday, Oct. 21.
His funeral service was held Tuesday, Oct. 24, at the Clearwater First Baptist Church. Burial was in the Clearwater Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 6, 1911 at Moundridge as a son of John M. and Anna Schroeder Janzen.
Following his high school graduation, the family moved to a farm near Augusta where they spent several years before returning to Wichita.
He married the former Frances Jones in Wichita on June 13, 1937.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Howard Janzen of Clearwater; a daughter, Janet Janzen of Wichita; a sister, Emma Shiker of Wichita, and two grandchildren.
The Webb Mortuary at Clearwater was in charge of arrangements.
