Myrtle A. Davis dies in El Dorado
Myrtle A. Davis, 82, Leon, died Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the El Dorado Nursing Center.
Her funeral service will be 1 o’clock Friday afternoon, Oct. 27, at the Carlson Funeral Home colonial chapel and burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
She was born June 13, 1907 at Tribune as a daughter of Walter Jacob Banks and Stella Edith Tuell Banks.
On Aug. 11, 1927, she married George W. Davis who preceded her in death in 1952.
Survivors include three daughters, Helen Worrell of Wichita, Norma French of Wichita, Roberta Sanders of Derby; two brothers, Charles Banks of Kingmand and Bill Banks of Ellinwood; two sisters, Jean Causey of Pawnee Rock, and Lucy Wood of Oklahoma City, Okla., nine grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials to the Naomi Rebekah Lodge at Leon have been suggested.

Warren V. Elliott funeral on Monday
Warren Verne Elliott, 66, Ottawa, formerly of Augusta, died yesterday at the VA Medical Center in Topeka.
His graveside funeral service is scheduled for 2 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Elmwood Cemetery here.
Elliott was born March 4, 1923 at Keighley as a son of Lawrence E. Elliott and Pearl Grace Eastin Elliott.
Survivors include a brother, Rodney Elliott of Wichita, and a sister, Wilma Mayfield of Ottawa.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and self-employed in the construction field.

Spencer R. Ryan dies at hospital
Retired flower shop operator Spencer R. Ryan, 86, Augusta, died Sunday, Oct. 29, at the HCA Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His funeral service will be 1 o’clock Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 1, at the Church of Christ here with Charles Evans officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
He was born Dec. 18, 1902 in Leesburg, Calif., as a son of Charles Ryan and Alice Farris Ryan.
On June 30, 1930, he married the former Elizabeth Buell in a ceremony at Paragould, Ark. She survives.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Ryan leaves a sister, Nannie Bond of Lyons.
Memorials to the Church of Christ or the Augusta Library have been suggested.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Robert T. Pfeiffer died on Sunday
Robert T. Pfeiffer, 14, Douglass, died Sunday, Oct. 29.
His funeral service will be 11 o’clock tomorrow, Oct. 31, at the Douglass Church of Christ.
Survivors include his parents, Robert and Barbara Pfeiffer, and a sister, Angie, all of the home, and a grandmother, Eveyln Cline of Douglass.
Memorials to the Leukemia Society of America have been suggested.
The Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home of Douglass is in charge of arrangements.
