Kenneth Crain funeral Friday at local church
Retired Mobil Oil chemist W. Kenneth Crain, 87, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
His funeral service will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 1, in the First Christian Church here and Rev. Michael Omundson will officiate.
Burial will be in the Wichita Park Cemetery.
He was born Aug. 21, 1902 in Fall River. His mother was Jessie Hooten and his stepfather was Robert L. Garriott.
On July 30, 1944, he married Rosemary E. May in Wichita. She survives.
Mr. Crain also leaves a son Charles R. Crain, Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Beverly Jean McCoy, Tucson, Ariz.; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Mystic Tie Lodge 74 and Wichita Consistory. He was also a founding member of the Flint Hills Radio Club.
Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arrangements.

Kim Billingsley funeral Monday
Laborer Kim Scott Billingsley, 34, El Dorado, died Thursday, Nov. 30, at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His funeral service will be 11 o’clock Monday, Dec. 4, at the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery here.
Billingsley was born June 14, 1955 in El Dorado as a son of Ila Jean Weaver and the late Ed Billingsley.
In addition to his mother, he leaves two sisters, Dana Billingsley and Darcel Hill, both of Augusta; a niece, Shannon Boswell and a nephew, Jack Nelson.
Memorials to Alcoholics Anonymous have been suggested.

Carolyn Dodson services to be Wednesday
Services for Carolyn Elizabeth Dodson, 89, Augusta, will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Dunsford Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She died Dec. 2 at the St. Joseph Medical Center in Wichita.
She was born Dec. 20, 1899 in Indian Territory, Davis, Okla. to George Washington Pullen and Amanda Ellen Kelly. One June 30, 1920, she married Willard Charles Dodson who preceded her in death in 1972.
Survivors include sons Adrian Dodson and Kay L. Dodson of El Centro, Calif.; daughters, Mary Barnett of Relands, Calif. and Migon Cadieux of Orlando, Fla.; 20 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She had taught school in Oklahoma and Arizona.
William Herndon dies
Services for William Lee Herndon, 84, Douglass, were 2 p.m. Saturday at the Douglass Cemetery.
He died Thursday, Nov. 30.
Survivors include a brother, Raymond Herdon of Douglass; sisters, Edith Hawkins of Dumas, Texas, Edna Hollingsworth of Atlanta, Letha Kreisel of El Dorado, Frances Haworth of Mansfield, Wash., Margaret Brown of Towanda; one stepgrandchild and two step-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
