E. James ‘Jim’ Kohman died Friday
E. James “Jim” Kohman, 59, Augusta, an electrical engineer with Boeing in Wichita, died Friday, Dec. 1, 1989, at the St. Joseph Medical Center emergency room in Wichita.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the First Baptist Church, the Rev. Robert Box officiating.
Burial will be at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Dickinson County Cemetery.
Kohman was born May 14, 1930 to Ernest James Kohman and Eva Fromm. On Sept. 6, 1952, he married Joan Ruth Lambert in Horton.
Survivors include his wife; a son, E. James Kohman III of Manhattan; daughters Nancy Gail Prohn of Valley Center,
Susan Diane Fellows of Augusta and Bette Anne Regier of Augusta; brothers William J. Kohman of Hope and Fred H. Kohman of Perry, Okla.; and five grandchildren.
A memorial scholarship fund of the First Baptist Church has been established.

Kathryn Stevens dies
Kathryn (Kate) Stevens, 86, Augusta, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Services are at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
She was born May 19, 1903 in Stahl, Mo., to James Thomas Bywater and Dale Amanda Haffner. On Aug. 29, 1931 she married Cecil Earl Stevens in El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1977.
Survivors include a daughter, Carolyn Holland of Wichita; sister Nina Cutts of Augusta; and a grandson, Todd Wilson of Wichita.
She retired in 1972 from the Gas Service Company and had owned the Ohio Street Grocery. Stevens belonged to the Rebeck-ah Lodge and was the past noble grand of Rebeckah, H.D.U.

Georgia Mannion dies
Georgia Christine Mannion, 75, Augusta, died today at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Dunsford Funeral Home Chapel, the Rev. Burl Allison officiating.
Burial will be in the Arkansas City Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 9, 1914 in Lupe City, Neb., to True Leatherman and Ann Christopher. On May 15, 1941, she married William Cecil Mannion in Ponca City, Okla.
Survivors include her husband, William Cecil Mannion; brothers Fred Leatherman of Braman, Okla., and John Leatherman of Ponca City; sisters Dressie Baker of Newkirk, Okla., and Tillie Crenshaw of Alva, Okla.

Stewart dies Tuesday
Services for Cyril Emerson Stewart, 89, Augusta, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the Church of Christ in Augusta.
Burial will be in the Cumberland Cemetery.
He died Tuesday, Dec. 5, at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Center.
Stewart was born Jan. 22, 1900 in Butler County to John Porter Stewart and Mattie Alma Bare. On Feb. 9, 1924, he married Leota Frances Kenney in Haverhill.
Survivors include sons Paul Richard Stewart of Douglass, Cyril Emerson Stewart Jr. of Garden City; daughters Barbara Luicille Williams of Ontario, Calif., Mary Florence Meeker of Augusta, Mattie Evelyn Mosley of Pomona, Calif.; brother, Jim Stewart of Douglass; sister, Vera Novak of Wichita; 17 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Homer and Willard Stewart, preceded him in death.
He was a retired farmer and had belonged to the Church of Christ.

Stevens had been living with her daughter, Caroline Holland, in Wichita.
