Lucy Johnson services Thursday
Funeral services for Lucy Faye (Richards) Johnson, 85, Augusta, will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, at the Matfield Community Church in Matfield Green.
Friends may call until 10 p.m. today at Brown-Bennett-Alexander Funeral Home in Cottonwood Falls and at the church after 9 a.m. Thursday.
Johnson was killed on Christmas Day in a two-vehicle, head-on collision in Butler County.
She was born Nov. 10, 1904 in Matfield Green to James Richards and Lizzie Calvert Richards. On Nov. 15, 1925, she
married Ira Earl Johnson in Eureka. He preceded her in death in 1970.
Johnson had been a homemaker.
Survivors include a son, Frank Johnson of Matfield Green; two daughters, Lucille Macom of Stamford, Texas, Inez Irene Buckley of Pueblo, Colo.; sister, Elreene Dean of Shaddock, Okla.; eight grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.
A memorial fund has been established with the Matfield Community Church.

Gale Frye dies Sunday
Gale Clarence Frye, 70, Augusta, died Saturday, Dec. 23, at the Veterans Administration Hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Elmwood Cemetery with the Rev. Chuck Evans officiating.
Frye was born Jan. 8, 1919 in Stevensville, Mont. to Clarence Frye and Rena Hardcastle. On Nov. 8, 1945, he married Hattie L. Warren in Ava, Mo.
Survivors include his wife; his mother of Fredonia; daughters Carolyn Sloderback and Kathryn
Zlomke, both of Augusta; brothers R.D. Frye of Augusta, Jack Frye of Waynesville, Mo., Valdon Frye of Arizona, Ward Frye of Yates Center; sisters Violet Adams of Kansas City, Mo., Geraldine Matney of Fredonia, Mozell Allen of Salina and Janice Cox of Osage City; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Frye was a retired Beechcraft stock clerk and has belonged to the Church of Christ. He was also in the active military service during World War II.

Millison services Saturday
Retired Mobil Oil Company employee Albert E. “Millie” Millison, 81, of Idabel, Okla., died Saturday, Dec. 23.
Services will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at the Nation Funeral Home in Idabel.
He was born March 30, 1908
to Lee and Maude Millison in Hurdland, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lee, his first wife, Nina, a son, Joe, and a grandson, Kerry.
Survivors include his wife, Mae; mother Maude of Sedan; a son, Harold, of Roundlake, Ill.; seven grandchildren including Mikki Hall of Augusta; and nine great-grandchildren.
