Services for Fostnaught to be Thurs.
Services for retired cafe owner Dora Elizabeth Fostnaught, 88, Augusta, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the Benton United Methodist Church, the Rev. Fred Houston officiating.
Fostnaught died Jan. 29 at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Burial will be in the Andover Cemetery.
She was born Jan. 3, 1902 in Bloomington, Ill. to Mary Elizabeth Pullens and John Valentine Malcom.
On Sept. 15, 1921, she married Henry Moses Fostnaught in
Wichita. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1965.
Survivors include a son, Jack Fostnaught of Wichita; daughters Anna Mae Hampton of Towanda and Marie Southern of Muldrow, Okla.; four grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Fostnaught had lived in Benton and came to this county in 1918. She was affiliated with the Methodist Church.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Assocation.

Sarah Drain dies Friday in Wichita
Sarah Frona Drain, 88, died Friday, Feb. 2, in Wichita.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 7, at Huntsville, Ark. Visiting hours will be today until 8 p.m. at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Drain was born Jan. 3, 1902 in Lincoln, Ark., to Myrtle Elms and John Kirk.
On Sept. 5, 1922, she married E.O. Jack Drain. He preceded her in death in 1973.
Survivors include Jack Drain of Supulpa, Okla.; sisters Vergie Alberty of Hulbert, Okla., Bett Pelton of Wichita, Allie Cain and Eria Grubb of Huntsville, Ark., Imogene Chroman of Delena, Calif., Ruth rutherford of Berryville, Ark.; one grandchild and one great-grandchild.

Ernest F. Martin dies at hospital
Retired parts manager Ernest F. Martin, 80, El Dorado, died Friday, Feb. 1, at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His funeral will be 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, Feb. 6, at the Carlson Colonial Chapel in El Dorado. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery here.
He was born Dec. 25, 1909 at Gordon as a son of Steven M. and Lina Bowers Martin.
He worked as a parts manager at Martin Motors and Parks Motor Co. in Augusta.
Martin held membership in the Methodist Church, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Navy.
He and the former Florence A. Looman were married Oct. 22, 1932 in El Dorado. She preceded him in death in 1978.
Survivors include two sons, Vernon of Las Vegas, and Keith of El Dorado; a brother, Aubrey of Augusta; eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by two sisters and six brothers.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home in El Dorado.

Wanda N. Eastin dies in accident
Wanda N. Eastin, 64, Beaumont, died Saturday, Feb. 3, as result of a car-van collision east of Leon on Kansas 96.
Her funeral service will be 2 o’clock Wednesday afternoon at the Beaumont Christian Church and burial will be in the Beaumont Cemetery.
She was born Aug. 31, 1925 in Leon as a daughter of Lloyd and Alberta Moore Murrey.
Mrs. Eastin was a former school teacher and was serving as postmaster in Beaumont at the time of her death. She had been a resident of Beaumont for the past 36 years.
Her memberships included Beaumont Christian Church, Order of Eastern Star, and National Order of Postal Services.
On May 16, 1948, she and Merle James Eastin were united in marriage in a ceremony at El Dorado. He preceded her in death in 1989.
Survivors include three daughters, Tanya Dockers of Rose Hill, Torrin Folck of Augusta, and Talette Eastin of Beaumont; a stepfather, C.L. “Bud” Schutts of Beaumont; a sister, Phyllis Titsworth of Augusta, and one grandchild, Tyler Eastin Folck.
Memorials to the Beaumont Christian Church have been suggested.
The Carlson Colonial Chapel in El Dorado is in charge of arrangements.
