A. Elmeda Alley services Saturday

A. Elmeda Alley, 70, Wichita died Wednesday, Aug. 8.
She is the mother of Nancy (Alley) Barbour of Augusta.
A memorial service will be 3 p.m. Saturday at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Burial will be in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.
Alley was born April 1,1920, in Woodward, Okla;", to Bert and Ada (Dunn) Persons.,
Other survivors include husband, Dr. James M. Jr.; three sons, Dr. James M. Ill of Wichita, Dr. Robert of Nashville, Tenn., and Michael of Omaha, Neb.; brothers Bert 0. Persons of Towanda, Richard Earl Persons of Wichita; six grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Hospice Inc.

Reba G. Cantrell dies Tuesday

Reba G. Cantrell, 79, Glen-wood, Ark., died Tuesday, Aug. 7, in the Glenwood Nursing Home.
She is the mother of Darrell Pruner, Augusta.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, in the Sylvia Cemetery, Sylvia, the Rev. Otis Webb officiating.
Cantrell was bom July 11, 1911, in Omaha, Ark., to John and Oma Etchison.
She was a member of the Oak-lawn Church of God.
Other survivors include husband, Leo R. Cantrell of Glenwood; sons, Junior Pruner of Hutchinson, Delano Pruner of Waxahachie, Texas; daughter, Beverly Lair of Glen Wood; 13 grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren.
Davis-Smith Funeral Home in Glenwood is in charge of arrangements.

Anna Maddox services today in Missouri

Anna Maddox, sister of Augusta resident Mrs. Raymond Moreland, died recently.
Moreland received word of her sister’s death Wednesday.
Services were today at Langsford-Cox Funeral Home in Lee’s Summit, Mo. Burial will be at the Oak Grove Cemetery.

Gerald D. Dennett dies at St. Francis
Gerald D. Dennett, 75, Augusta, died today at St. Francis Medical Center, Wichita.
Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Dunsford Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Dennett was bom Nov. 5, 1914, to Lena (Knollenberg) and Wesley Dennett in Augusta.
On Feb. 10, 1934, he married Nellie Ruth McCullough. She preceded him in death in 1989.
Survivors include daughters, Barbara White of Augusta and Shirley Ann Jackie of Douglass; sisters, Maxine Smith and Virginia Cyphers, both of Augusta; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Dennett retired from Cessna. A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
Alma Emma Gean services Tuesday
Alma Emma Gean, 74, Towanda, died Saturday, Aug. 11, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 14, at Resthaven Chapel, Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the American Lung Association.

Eunice M. (Kennedy) Landrum, 82, Wichita, died Sunday Aug. 12. J’
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Downing & Lahey Mortuary Wichita.
Survivors include sister-in-law Lorine Kennedy of Topeka-nephew Jay K. of Leawood.
Memorials have been established with the American Cancer Society and the Catholic Diocese of Wichita.
