Stepfather Dies At 73
Harold E. McGee, 73, Wichita, stepfather of Charles O. Stueven of Augusta, died Monday at St. Francis Hospital.
His service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Mortuary. Rev. Orel Newbrey will officiate and burial will be at Resthaven Garden of Memory.
He was born Oct. 17, 1908 in Colony to Edward Peter and Cordelia Jane Mathewson McGee.
He married Elsie M. Banta.
She survives.
He was a retired mechanic.
He was a member of the Broadway Christian Church.
Other survivors include a daughter, Virginia May McNiff of Florissant, Mo.; three brothers, Hugh McGee and Charles McGee, both of Winfield, Carl McGee of Albuquerque, N.M.; a sister, Christa Holloway of Winfield; 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Daughter Dies At 41
Carol Ann Pricer Rogers, 41, Olathe, the daughter of Oakley and Ferne Smith of Augusta, died Wednesday.
Graveside services are at 4 p.m. Friday at the Lakeview Cemetery in Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the American Cancer Society.
She was a self-employed transcriber.
Other survivors include sons, Barry and Corey, both of the home; daughters, Cheri Cox of Fort Worth, Texas, Teri Rogers at home, and a sister, Beverly Nulik of Wichita.
The Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City is in charge of arrangements.
Rites Pending For Mike Cyphers
Mike Cyphers, a former partner of Gazette Publishing Co., died today at the Augusta Medical Complex.
His funeral arrangements are pending at the Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta.

Brother Dies In Winfield
Lee H. Copple, 79, Winfield, brother of Ruth 0‘Neil of Douglass, died there Thursday.
His service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield. The rosary will be said at 7:30 o’clock tonight at the Swisher-Taylor Morris Funeral Home. Father John Dinan will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the Holy Name Catholic Church in Winfield.
He was born June 2, 1903 to Robert L. and Laura Pratt Copple in Winfield.
He married Helen Drauden Nov. 8, 1924. She survives.
He was a retired farmer and election. He was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church.
Other survivors include sons, Charles Copple of Derby and Edward Copple of Winfield; daughters, Jean Copple, Pat Pichette, Marcella DeMars, all of Wichita; another sister, Mary Vaughn of El City, and 15 grandchildren.
