Mother Dies In Wichita
Lucile Denny, 82, Wichita, mother of Larry Denny of Augusta, died Thursday at her home.
Her services were at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Cochran Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Kenneth R. Peterson officiate and burial was in the Amity, Mo., cemetery today at 2 p.m.
She was born July 8, 1900 to John A. and Kittie Russell Porr in Maysville, Mo.
She married Leonard W. Denny March 15, 1922 in Maysville. He survives.
She was a member of the Calvary Bible Church.
Other survivors include sons, Duane Denny of Wichita, Paul Denny of Pueblo, Colo, Darrel Denny of Kansas City, Kan.; daughters, Rowena Burroughs of Park City; brothers, John Porr of Visalia, Calif., George Porr of St. Joseph, Mo.; sisters, Bernadine Koenigkramer of Oakland, Calif., and Wilma Porr of Chicago, Ill; 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Brother Dies In Oklahoma
Edward James Cody Sr. 80, Wichita, brother of Ethel Burch and Hattie Kline, both of Augusta, died Saturday at a Tulsa, Okla., nursing home.
His service will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at the Resthaven Mortuary. Rev. Luther Dowdy will officiate and burial will be in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
He was born Oct. 20, 1901 in Augusta to E.J. and Eliza Sanders Cody.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Other survivors include sons, Edward J. Cody Jr., and Gene Cody, both of Wichita, Tommy E. Cody of Tulsa, Okla.; daughters, Wanda M. Chambers of Winfield; another sister, Corey Heuett of Seattle, Wash.; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Rites Today For Chalmers
N. Elizabeth Chalmers, 87, Wichita, formerly of Augusta, died Thursday at the Woodlawn nursing home in Wichita.
Her service were at 10 a.m. today at Cochran Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. John Click officiated and graveside services were at the Round Mound Cemetery in Cedar Vale.
She was born June 23, 1895 in Grenola to Alexander A. and Char Lott Urbin Patteson.
She married Louis Chalmers Sept. 8, 1934 in Augusta. He survives.
Other survivors include a son, David Chalmers of Walnut, Calif.; five daughters, Lois Robison of Augusta, Alice Chalmers of Garden City, Lyla Fowler and Jacqulyn Best, both of Wichita, Jo Veta Letbetter of Salt Lake City, Utah; two sisters, Mellie Walker and Pearl Fallee, both of Moline; 16 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren, and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

Pendergraft Dies At 78
Flossie M. Pendergraft, 78, rural Winfield, died Sept. 23 at Newton Memorial Hospital in Winfield.
Her service was at 2 p.m. today at the Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home in Douglass. Rev. Gary Bowie officiated and burial was in the Douglass Cemetery.
She was born Oct. 26, 1903 in Douglass to Joseph E. and Sara New Rosenberry.
She married William J. Pendergraft Sept. 16, 1942 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He survives.

G.L. Riley Dies At 69
Gwendolyn Lucille Riley, 69, 2101 Dearborn, died Sunday, Sept. 26, at the Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Facility.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 28, at the Elmwood Cemetery. Rev. Burl Allison Jr. will officiate.
She was born Oct. 14, 1912 in McComb, Ill., to Issac Earl and Ruth Patterson Oakman.
Survivors include a niece, Nancy Winship and a nephew, Danny Oakman, both of Scottsdale, Ariz.
The Dunsford Funeral Home of Augusta is in charge of arragements.

Great-Grandson
Dies In Mishap
Jeffery Mark Collins, 20, Coffeyville, great-grandson of Myrtle Powell of Augusta, died Sunday in a track accident north of Coffeyville.
His service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Ford-Wulf-Bruns Edgewood Chapel in Coffeyville. Rev. Lee H. Adams will officiate and burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 6, 1961 in Coffeyville to Larry D. and Velta Jean Rogers Collins.
He was a student at Coffeyville Junior College. He was a member of the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.
Survivors include his father, Larry Collins, stepmother, Linda Collins, both of Coffeyville; mother, Jean Sitsler, stepfather, A.J. Sitsler, both of Coffeyville; brothers, Mike Collins of Coffeyville, Steve Collins of the home; stepsisters, Ladonna Bush and Cindy Collins, both of Coffeyville; grandparents, Nova and Albert Collins of Coffeyville, Roberta and Paul Gilson of Leon, and step-grandparents, Myrtle and Andy Sitsler of Coffeyville, Lucille Rosson of Ramona, Okla.
