Marilyn Joy Rogers dies Saturday
Real estate agent Marilyn Joy Rogers, 53, Wichita, died Saturday, Nov. 10, at Cheney Lake.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Dunsford Funeral Home. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Rogers was born Dec. 22, 1936, in Rose Hill, to Ida D. (Woverton) and Lawrence E. Wolf.
Survivors include a daughter, Chris Cheers of Wichita; brothers, Walter Yoric of San Diego, Calif.,
Keith Wolf of Joplin, Mo.; one grandchild.
A memorial has been established with the Wichita Audubon Society.

Florence Barnes funeral Thursday

Florence G. Barnes, 95, Dou-glass, died Monday, Nov. 11, at the Medicalodge nursing facility
in Douglass.
Her funeral will be 2 o clock Thursday afternoon, Nov. 15, at the Douglass United Methodist Church
with Rev. Dan Ferguson officiating. Burial will be in the Douglass Cemetery.
She was bom Sept. 3, near Derby as a daughter of Charles and Alice Berger.
On May 12, 1915, she and Everett Barnes were united in marriage in Douglass.
He preceded her in death in 1965.
During her life, Mrs. Barnes held membership in the Douglass United Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors of America, and the Busy Brush China Painting Club.
She leaves two daughters, Lois Mitchell of Rose Hill and LaVer-ne Smith of Amarillo, Texas;
two sisters, Katherine Alley of Derby and Jessie Brown of Augusta; a brother, Woodrow Berger of Wichita,
11 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and three
great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Douglass United Methodist Church.
The Hilyard-Smith Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Karolyn Barrett dies in plane crash
Karolyn V. “Kay” Glaves Barrett, 45, Huntington, Calif., died Monday, Nov. 12, in a airplane crash near Aspen, Colo.
She is the sister of Richard Glaves, Leon.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Leon Cemetery, the Rev. Mel Brown officiating.
There will be a memorial service at 11 a.m. Saturday in California for both Barrett and her husband, Larry,
who was also killed in the crash
She was born Oct. 3,1945, in El Dorado, and graduated from Leon high school in 1963 and from
the Emporia State Teachers College. Barrett was an elementary school teacher in California.
Barrett was a former Leon resident.
On July 22,1989, she married Larry Barrett in California.
Survivors include her mother Virginia Glaves of El Dorado brothers, John of El Dorado, Larry of Costa Mesa, Calif.

Marjorie Louise Gray dies Saturday

Family daycare provider Marjorie Louise (Fleichman) Gray, 55 died Saturday, Nov. 3.
She is the stepmother of Augusta resident Sheila Prindle.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Smith Mortuary, Derby.
Survivors include husband, Willis, stepdaughters, LaVonna of Douglass, Vickie Starkey of Wichita: brothers
Marvin Richards of Louisiana, Mo., Marcel Richards of Bowling Green, Mo., Marty Richards, Morris Richards,
Melvin Richards, addresses unavailable: sisters, Maureen Young of Laddonia, Mo.,
Marilyn Jennings of Bowling Green: five step grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Hopice Inc.

Francis Kinnamon dies at hospital
Francis Kinnamon, 55, Independence, died Tuesday, Nov. 13, at Mercy Hospital in Independence.
He is the son of Hazel and the late Paul Kinnamon of Augusta.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
