Hazel Hadlow
Hazel Pauline Hadlow, 57, Augusta, died Friday, Dec. 14, at St. Francis Regional Medical Center, Wichita.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Crossroads Church, rural Galena, Mo., in Stone County,
the Rev. Edsel Lovette officiating. Burial will be in Nolan Cemetery, Galena.
Hadlow was born June 7, 1933, to Cassie (Asher) and Walter H. Blair in Galena.
Hadlow had been a presser and clerk for Purdin’s Cleaners in Augusta.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
On Sept. 6,1949, she married Haynard E. Hadlow in Benton-ville, Ark. He survives.
Other survivors include daughter, Marsha Walton of Augusta; brothers, Homer & Howard Blair of Galena, Mo.,
Hobert Blair of Chelsa, Okla.; sisters, Helen Lampley of Napa, Calif., Hattie Woody of Underwood, Wash.;
one grandchild.
A memorial has been established with the Lupus Foundation of Kansas, 4601 Lulu, Wichita, Kan., 67216.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
A.B. Fry
Retired Beech Aircraft Corp. worker A.B. Fry, 71, Wichita, died Friday.
He was the brother of Augusta residents Carl Fry and Lowell Fry.
Funeral services were today at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
Fry began his 44-year career at Beech in 1941, starting as a factory worker.
He held such positions as industrial engineer and held key manufacturing management positions. He retired in
1985.
Survivors include his wife, Ella, of Wichita; daughter, Patricia Ann Simmons of Winfield;
brothers, Milton Fry of Hutchinson, Ralph Fry of Winfield; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Julia B. Stevens
Julia B. Stevens, 87, Augusta, died Monday, Dec. 17, at the Walnut Valley Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Dunsford Funeral Home,
the Rev. Michael Omundson officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Stevens was born Feb. 3,1903, in Gamson, Mo., to Martha (Whitaker) and George Jones.
On Aug. 30,1921, she married Roy H. Stevens in Ozark, Mo. He preceded her in death on Aug. 8, 1962.
Also preceding her in death were a brother, three sisters and a grandson.
Survivors include son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Norma Jane Stevens of Douglass;
daughters and son-in-laws, Bernita and Stuart Marie of Augusta, Cleone and Bob Richards of Hennessey, Okla.;
sister, Myrtle Shipman of Chadwick, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 23 greatgrandchildren;
three great-greatgrandchildren.
Stevens had been a homemaker and was a member of the First Christian Church.
A memorial has been estabished with the Arthritis Foundation, 1602 E. Waterman, Wichita, Kan., 67211.

Viola Jackson
Viola Jackson, 80, Augusta, died Monday, Dec. 17, at the Andover Health Care Center, Andover.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at the Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta, Bill Buggeln officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Jackson was born May 1, 1910, in Butler County to Jessie Julie (Kiric) and Arthur Buell.
Survivors include son, Fritz Buell of Augusta; daughter, Shirley Jackson of Wichita;
sisters, Elizabeth Ryan of Augusta, Emma Seymour of Dodge City, Zeolah Fogarty of Cisco, Texas;
sister-in-law Lois Hilton of McPherson; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Jackson had been a housekeeper and was a member of the Church of Christ.
A memorial has been established with the Butler County Hospice and the Augusta Public Library.
