Henry G. ‘Hank’ Lewis
Hank’s Superette owner Henry G. “Hank” Lewis, 64, Augusta, died Thursday, Jan. 3.
Funeral services were today at Elliott Mortuary, Hutchinson. Burial was in Fairlawn Cemetery, Hutchinson.
Lewis was born Feb. 2, 1926, to Ira Truman Lewis and Eva T. Mahoney.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and had served in the Army during World War II.
Survivors include sons, Dennis of Augusta, Mark of Potwin, Greg of Lewisville, Texas;
brothers, Carl of Hutchinson, Don of Dallas, Texas, Vernon of Emporia, Herbert of Alamogordo, N.M.;
sisters, Josephine Augerot of Hutchinson, Mabel Stevens of Kansas City, Mo., June Christy of Socorro, N.M.;
three grandchildren.

Dorothy (Bartholomew) Wiershmg
Dorothy (Bartholomew) Wiershing, 93, Wichita, died Friday, Jan. 4. She is a former Augusta resident.
Funeral services will be private.
Survivors include sister, Gladys Parker of Wichita; nephews, Jack Parker of Derby,
Richard Bartholomew of Augusta; niece, Louise Hutchinson of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the Augusta United Methodist Church.
Downing & Lahey Mortuary, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.


Rosie R. Dingman
Retired St. Francis Regional Medical Center housekeeper Rosie R. Dingman, 72, Wichita, died Saturday, Jan. 5.
She is the sister of Mary Watson and Dean Byers, both of Augusta.
Funeral services are pending with Resthaven Mortuary,Wichita.
Other survivors include sons, Sonny and Marion, both of Wichita; brother, Mason B. French of McPherson;
sisters, Ginny Barker of Anderson, Mo., Elma Goode of Wichita, Patsy Prichard of Douglass;
13 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren.
