Victor Jacob Harreld
Assistant superintendent for the Mulvane street department Victor Jacob Harreld, 58, Mulvane, died Sunday, Jan. 6.
He is the father of Augusta resident Veda Corneil.
Rosary will be read at 8 p.m. Wednesday, and funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday,
both at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Mulvane.
Other survivors include a son, Charles McCain of Mulvane; daughters, Marilynn Jenkins of Wichita,
Mary Mertz of Arkansas City; brother, Bob of Wichita; sister, Theda Pullium of Clearwater, 10 grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Victor Harreld Firefighting Scholarship Fund, c/o Mulvane State Bank.
Smith Mortuary, Derby, is in charge of arrangements.

Marvin 'Pat’ Patterson
Painter Marvin “Pat” Patterson, 58, Wichita, died Thursday, Jan. 3. He is the father of Bob Patterson of Douglass.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Cochran Mortuary, Wichita.
Other survivors include son, Patrick of Wichita; daughters, Mary E. Rohr, Patricia Lee, both of Wichita,
Donna Bumam of Midway, Ark.; brothers, Bob of Harper, Maynard of Topeka, Ronald of Kansas City, Mo.;
Sister, Inez Henry of Dandridge, Tenn.; 12 grandchildren.
Robert E. McGlothlin
Retired crane operator Robert E. McGlothlin, 67, Mesa, Ariz., died Friday, Jan. 4. He is a former Leon resident.
Funeral services have already been held.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth; sons, Charles of Washington, Robert of New Plymouth, Idaho,
Mark of Bremerton, Wash., Bruce of Palm Springs, Calif.; stepson, Stephen Wanick of Peoria, Ariz.;
daughter, Kathleen Merriweather of Chattanooga, Tenn.; stepdaughter, Diana Davis of Topeka;
stepmother, Tera of Friona, Texas; brother, Jerrell of Nacogdoches, Texas;
sisters, Alleene Moseley of Bovina, Texas, MaryBell Westbrook of Mono Bay, Calif., Francis Merritt of Friona;
10 grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Ameican Cancer Society.
Chapel of Prayer Funeral Home, Mesa, is in charge of arrangements.

Nicholas H. Whiteside
Nicholas H. Whiteside, 10, Towanda, died Monday, Jan. 7.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Temple Baptist Church, El Dorado.
Survivors include his parents, Ben and Lorraine Whiteside; brother, Matthew, at home;
grandparents, Lee and Muriel of Towanda, Eldon and Lyvonne Beye of Whitewater;
great-grandparents, Alberta Benton of Neosho, Mo., Zerita Beye of Cherryvale.
Memorials have been established with Temple Baptist Church and Towanda Grade School Library.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Horhc, ’ El Dorado, is in charge of arrangements.

Emil Rossillon
Farmer/stockman Emil Rossillon, 88, Olpe, died Tuesday, Jan. 8. He is the father
of Augusta resident Rosanne Moore.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday with rosary to be read at 7 p.m. Friday,
both at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Olpe.
Others survivors include wife, Mary T.; sons, Joseph P. of Sitka, Alaska, John F. of Wichita;,
daughter, Patricia Johnson of New Ulm, Minn.; sisters, Alice Lutz of Olpe, Janet Brown of Emporia,
Marjorie Becher of Tucson, Ariz.; 18 grandchildren;
18 great-grandchildren.
Memorials haye been established with St. Joseph Catholic School Endowment Fund and the
American Diabetes Association.
Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral in Emporia is in charge of arrangements.
