Ray Arnold

Ray Arnold, 85, Casper, Wyo
brother of Troy Arnold of Augusta
died Sunday, March 3, at his home.
His funeral service will be Thursday March 7, in Casper
and burial will be in a cemetery there.
This retired co-owner of an oil well supply store was a graduate
Augusta High School and did oilfield work in this area as well
as Great Bend before relocating to Wyoming several years ago
In addition to the brother here he leaves his wife, Verlie of the home,
two daughters, Patsy and Judy, and several grandchildren

Josephine Selvage

Nursing home employee Josephine Selvage, 76, Wichita, died Monday, March 4,
at St. Joseph Medical Center, Wichita. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Burial will be in Cumberland Cemetery, Douglass.
Selvage was born June 18, 1914, in Prague, Ark.
On Aug. 22,1942, she married Hubert L. Selvage in San Diego, Calif. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daugther, Carolyn Cummings, Wichita; sister, Barbara Selvage of Udall;
and a grandson, Shaun A. Selvage, address not listed.

Sally E. Wilson

Retired Beech sheet metal worker Salley E. Wilson, 83, Augusta, died Monday, March 4,
at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Burial will be in Walnut Valley Cemetery, El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the First United Methodist Church.

Rolla L. Dilts

Livestock trucker Rolla L. Dilts, 71, Leon, died Tuesday, March 5, at the Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, March 9, at the Leon United Methodist Church,
the Rev. Quentin Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Leon Cemetery.
Dilts was born June 3, 1919, in rural Leon to Lewis & Cora (Burr) Dilts.
On Oct. 13, 1940, he married Nydine Pickrell in El Dorado.
He had been a livestock trucker for 46 years and raised registered quarterhorses. He was a
member of Leon United Methodist Church, the Elks
Lodge, Moose Lodge, Little Walnut Township Board, the American Quarterhorse Association
and a member of the El Dorado Saddle Club and the Western Horseman Association.
Survivors include his wife; a brother, L. Ray of El Dorado-stepbrother, Harvey Glassbume;
of Anderson, MO,; stepsister, Hazel Waner of LaJunta, Colo.
Memorials have been established with the Leon United Methodist Church and the
American Diabetes Association Carlson Funeral Home, El orado, is in charge of arrangements.

Van Hertlein

Van Hertlein of rural Andover, brother of Beverly Gaines of Augusta, has died.
Funeral services are reportedly pending at the Ayres Calbeck funeral home in Pratt.

Thursday, March 7, 1991

Harold E. Causey

Retired oil field worker Harold E. Causey, 75, El Dorado, died Tuesday, March 5.
He is the stepson of Sarah Cotton of Augusta.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Other survivors include a daughter, Marilyn Renville of El Dorado;
brother, E. Marvin of Pawnee Rock; stepbrother, Roy Cotton of Oklahoma City;
stepsisters, Rosalee Hall of Winfield, Sharon Hart of Wichita;
six grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the El Dorado Nursing Center.

Van Hertlein

Psychologist Van Edward Hertlein, 45, stepfather of Marianne Macintosh and
brother of Beverly Gaines, both of Augusta, died Thursday, March 7.
His funeral service was today, March 11, at the Presbyterian Church in Pratt.
Cremation followed the service.
He was born June 9, 1945 in Halstead.
This rural Augustan was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Pratt.
In addition to the stepdaughter and sister here, he leaves his wife, Joan of the home;
a son, Scott Hertlein of Wichita; two stepsons, Chris Brown of Portland, Ore.,
and Tim Brown of Indianapolis, Ind.; father and stepmother, C. Edward and Dixie Hertlein of Brookings, Ore.;
mother, Veda Hertlein of Salina; a brother, Harold Hertlein of Mt. Vernon, Wash.,
step-grandmother, Kitty Lee Hertlein of Greensburg.
Memorials to the Pratt Public Library have been suggested.
