JoAnn Edwards

Homemaker JoAnn Edwards, 64, El Dorado, died Tuesday, April 23, at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital, El Dorado.
She is the mother of Jack Burleson and Susan Rickerson of Augusta.
Funeral services arc 10 a.m. Thursday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Graveside services are 10 a.m. Saturday at the Rosehill Cemetery in Tyler, Texas.
Edwards was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Brownwood, Texas, to Wright and Iva Mae Wolfe.
Edwards attended schools in Brownwood, Texas, and graduated from the Howard Payne College in Texas.
For several years, she taught high school biology.
On Feb. 3, 1950, she married John Ward Edwards in San Angelo, Texas.
He preceded her in death in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jody Burleson, in 1971.
She has lived in El Dorado since 1976, moving there from Stafford.
Edwards was a member of the First Baptist Church of Stafford.
Other survivors include sons, Kelly of Olathe, Larry Burleson of Wichita;
seven grandchildren.

Don Kidwell

Don B. Kidwell of Lincoln, Neb., died Wednesday, April 24, in Lincoln.
He is a former Augusta resident. His Brothers, Joe Mid Kenneth Kidwell, reside in Augusta.
Funeral services will be Monday morning in Lincoln.
Other survivors include his wife, Mae; son, Christ of Lincoln; daughter, Jane of Woodland Hills, Calif.;
sister, Ellen Diemart of El Dorado; five grandchildren.

Harold Scobee

Retired Boeing Wichita chemical miller Harold Ivan Scobee, 79, Grenola, died Tuesday, Apnl 23.
He is the brother of Robert Scobee of Augusta.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Christian Church, Grenola.
Other survivors include his wife, June; son, Donald of Belle Plaine; brother, Merle of Wichita;
sisters, Gertrude Lister of Howard, Myrtle Hayden of Pittsburg, Pearl Bright of Valley Center,
Marie Boyd of Rosemead, Calif.;
seven grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Christian Church.
Watt Funeral Home, Moline, is in charge of arrangements.

Charlotte Nice

Charlotte M. Nice, 98, Newton, died Wednesday, April 24.
She is a former Augusta resident.
Funeral services are pending with Cochran Mortuary, Wichita.
Survivors include sons, Vensen V. of Shawnee, Jack D. of Wichita,
Durward of Rogers, Ark., John F. Carsichall, Calif., Paul G. of Portage, Ohio,
Eldon D. of Valley Center, L. Carl of Bothel, Wash., Robert J. of Wichita;
daughters, Hazel M. Smith of Wichita, Bonnie J. Jeffries of Russelville, Ark.;
brother, Keneth Underwood of Ocala, Fla.;
23 grandchildren; 63 great-grandchildren; 23 great-great-grandchildren.

Eleanor Knott

Security Oil Co. president Eleanor Knott, 76, Wichita, died Friday, April 26.
She is the sister of Augusta resident Kathryn Grantham.
Funeral services were today at the Church of the Magdalen, Wichita.
Other survivor is sister, Carolyn Sinning of Perth, Australia.
A memorial has been established with the Holy Famiy Center.

Guida Mae Foote

Retired Wichita Bindery book binder Guida Mae (Kollenberg) Foote, 65, Wichita, died Thursday, April 25.
She is the sister of Augusta resident Lester Knollenberg and Douglass resident Henry Knollenberg.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita.
Other survivors include her husband, Samuel N.; daughters, Margo Shepler, Janet Marshall, both of Wichita,
Sherrill Tiemeyer of Lawrence; brothers, Herman Knollenberg of Fresno, Cailf., Clyde Knollenberg of El Dorado;
sisters, Fern Herold, Helen Kerr, Macy Short, all of Wichita;
four grandchildren.

Heavy equipment operator engineer Jimmy Lee Watson, 45, Towanda, died Wednesday, Aprl
Funeral services were today at the Towanda Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother, Imogene of Towanda; father,’ Hobert L. of Elizabethtown, Ky.;
brother, Richard Dodd of Toronto; sisters, Tobi Jean Sibley of El Dorado, Rebecca Coleen Barry of Albany, N.Y.;
grandmother, Thelma Morris of Towanda.
