Anita Fleagle

Retired John Hancock Insurance Co. secretary Anita Marie (Knotts) Fleagle, 67, Augusta,
died Monday, May 13, at HCA Wesley Medical Center, Wichita.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at the Campbell-Kelley Funeral Home, Eureka.
Burial will be in Greenwood County Cemetery , Eureka.
Fleagle was born Oct. 30, 1923, in Yates Center to Edna Mae Jackson and Elias Lemuel Knotts.
She was the first born of four children and was preceded in death by one brother, George.
She graduated from Eureka High School in 1941 and attended Baker University in Baldwin.
She was working for “Triple A” where she had travelled to Syracuse, Kan., to open a new office.
In the process of working, she met and then married attorney Ralph C. Fleagle.
After their daughter Anne Martha was born, Anita and her family moved to Farmington, N.M.
Fleagle and her husband taught ninth grade Sunday School for 10 years.
She was interested in Child-Haven, a center in New Mexico for abused and neglected children.
Anita and her family returned to Wichita in 1970 where her husband continued his legal career.
She became a secretary for John Hancock Insurance Company until she retired in 1985.
Preceding her in death was her husband, Ralph, who died in 1983.
Survivors include her daughter, Anne Burton of Wichita; two sisters, Ruth Shupe of Emporia and
Esther Burt Hedges of Wichta, two grandchilden;
several nieces and nephews including Jerry Knotts and Kathi Hanson, both of Augusta.
A memorial has been established with the Butler County EMS, El Dorado.

Susie DeLong

Homemaker Susie Margaret DeLong, 86, Augusta, died Tuesday, May 14, at the
Augusta Medical Complex Long Term Care Unit.
Graveside services are 10:30 a.m. Thursday, May 16, at Elmwood Cemetery, Augusta,
the Rev. Burl Allison Jr. officiating.
DeLong was born July 17, 1904, in Arcadia, Okla., to Martha (Howard) and William Randall.
In February, 1929, she married Arlo DeLong in Gutherie, Okla.
He preceded her in death. Also preceding her in death was a son, Ordell DeLong.
Survivors include brothers, John Randall of Odessa, Texas, Goerge Randall of Augusta;
sisters, Gertrude DeLong of Augusta and Rose Burdick of Grandview, Wash.

Arthur Noeller

Arthur B. Noeller, 72, Augusta, died Tuesday night at his home.
Funeral arrangements are pending at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta.
Survivors include his wife, Betty.

Wayne Addis

Lippert Components painter Wayne P. Addis, 53, Arkansas City, died Monday, May 13.
He is the brother of Augusta resident Esther Sorden.
Services are 10 a.m. Friday at Hawks Funeral Home, Arkansas City, and 1 p.m. at the Waco Cemetery.
Other survivors include his brothers, Floyd, Jesse, Ross, all of Wichita,
Alvin of Seattle, Wash.; sister, Juanita Nance of Wichita.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.

Ronald Schmidt

Union Tank Car employee Ronald Edward Schmidt, 60, El Dorado, died Tuesday, May 14.
He is the stepfather of Allen Pad-dock of Leon.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Burial will be in Sunset Lawns Cemetery, ElDorado.
Schmidt was born Dec. 30, 1930, to Walter & Marie Jane (Hoover) Schmidt in El Dorado
and attended schools in El Dorado.
He and Faye Wertz were married in El Dorado On Sept. 28, 1982, he married Johnna Brown in El Dorado.
He was employed by Union Tank Car Company for more than 19 years.
During the Korean War, he served with the U.S. Marine Corps, and he was a member of the O.C.A.W.
He was preceded in death by a son, Lonnie, a sister, Ruby Erpelding Schmidt, and his parents.
Other survivors include his wife, Johnna; daughters, Diana Andrews, Becky McHaley, both of El Dorado;
stepdaughters, Regina Maytubby of Stillwater, Okla., Melinda Brown of San Antonio, Texas;
brother, Robert of Cassoday; nine grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Knights Templar Eye Foundation.
