Arthur Noeller

Retired Mobil Refinery employee Arthur B. Noeller, 72, Augusta, died Tuesday, May 14, at home.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Pastor Steve Frank officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Noeller was born May 26, 1918, in Salisbury, Mo., to Lela (Stephenson) and George Fredrick Noeller.
On Nov. 6, 1914, he married Betty Stonehocker in El Dorado. She survives.
Other survivors include a son, Wayne Arthur Noeller of Sils-bee, Texas;
daughters, Judith Ann Noeller of Topeka, Janene Jones of Augusta;
brothers, Henry Noeller of Pennsville, N.J., John Ellis Noeller of Wichita, Gus A. Noeller of Augusta;
four grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; one step-greatgrandchildren.
Noeller served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member of the Wesleyan Church.
He was also a volunteer fireman and policeman.

Mabel Crabtree

Retired Beech Aircraft employee Mabel Louise Crabtree, 76, Augusta, died Saturday, May 18 at
Walnut Valley Manor, Augusta.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Tuesday at Lakecrest Bible Baptist Church,
the Rev. Harv Coberley officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Crabtree was born Oct. 3, 1914, in Augusta to Clara J. Beaver and Oscar Lewis Winters.
On Oct. 21, 1934, she married Forrest H. Crabtree in Augusta. He preceded her in death Aug. 3, 1974.
Survivors include a daughter, Kathryn Brooks of Long Key, Fla.; brother, Guy Allen Winters of Reece;
sisters, Viola Faye Binder ane Ida Mae McBee, both of Augusta;
two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dunsford Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Edith Criss

Edith Mildred Criss, 78, Augusta, died Thursday, May 16, at the HC A Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
Her funeral service will be 2 o’clock Monday afternoon in the Dunsford Funeral Home chapel.
Rev. Harold Kieler of First United Methodist Church will officiate and burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery here.
She was born June 25, 1912 to Warren E. Catlin and Maude T. Alley Catlin in Melvem, Kan.
On June 19, 1930, she and R D Criss were married. He survives.
She once worked as a timekeeper at Boeing Military Airplane Co.
Mrs. Criss was a member of the Methodist Church.
Other survivors include a son, Ramon of El Dorado; daughter, Sandra Seward of Augusta;
brother, Alley Catlin of Melvern;
six grand children; seven great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Butler County Community College Endowment Fund.

William Cole

Retired Winfield High School custodian William Guy Cole, 90, Great Bend, died Sunday, May 19.
He is the brother of Augusta resident Robert Cole.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Highland Cemetery, Winfield.
Other survivors include a son, Gene of Great Bend;
daughters, Francis Johnson, Madeline Jemigan, Betty Irene Bams, all of Bakersfield, Calif.;
sister, Betty Hall of Coffeyville, Alice Kittel of Arkansas City;
15 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with First Methodist Church, Winfield.
Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge of arrangements.

John R. Boyce

Retired Beech Aircraft employee John “Dick” R. Boyce, 69, Leon, died Saturday, May 18.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Wednesday at Leon United Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Carol; son, Neil of Leon; daughter, Julie A. Tipton of Wichita;
brother, Leon of Little Rock, Ark.; sisters, Rubi Busch, Pauline Rashke, both of Longmont, Colo.;
five grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Leon United Methodist Church.
Carlson Funeral Home, El Dorado, is in charge of arrangements.
