Maude McClintick

Former Augustan Maude Mae McClintick, 86, Blackwell, Okla., died Tuesday morning at the
Hillcrest Nursing Home in Blackwell.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday in the Janesville Cemetery at Hamilton, Kan.
Rev. Bob Robison of the First Christian Church of Madison officiating.
McClintick was born May 1, 1905, in Hamilton to Charles & Eva (Lybarger) McClintick.
McClintick was first employed in Tecumseh, Okla., and then lived in the Kansas towns of
Cummingham, Turon, and Augusta.
She worked at Beech Aircraft for many years and retired from Boeing Aircraft in Wichita.
In 1975, she moved to Blackwell and entered the nursing home there on Jan. 16, 1988.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Frank (Eva Mardell Huffman) Adkins of Blackwell;
two grandchildren; four greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and three brothers.
A memorial has been established with the Blackwell Regional Hospital Auxiliary in care of the
Hackler-Porter Funeral Home, Blackwell.

B. Joe Steele

B. Joe Steele, 63, Wichita, father of Julie Bird of Augusta, died Monday, May 27.
He worked as a parts inventory/shipping manager at Cessna Aircraft Co.
His funeral service was today at the First Baptist Church in Haysville.
Survivors include his wife, Joanna; son, Jerry L. of Sand Springs, Okla.;
daughter, Janice K. Bulmer of Tulsa, Okla.;
mother, Hazel of Wichita; brother, Charles of Wichita;
sisters, Helen Schock, Betty Ivy, both of Wichita, Sue White of Rockwell, Texas;
five grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with the American Heart Association and
HCA Wesley Medical Center therapy department.
Resthaven Mortuary, Wichita, was in charge of arrangements.

Oscar Wright

Retired Cessna employee and Wright’s Manufacturing Co. owner/operator Oscar G. Wright, 80, Towanda,
died Monday, May 27.
Funeral services were today at the Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado.
Survivors include his wife, Blanche; son, Gerold of Towanda; daughters, Lea McGinnis of Gravois Mills, Mo.,
Jeanene Brunell of Towanda; stepson, Harry Bokey of El Dorado;
stepdaughter, Helen Bokey of Towanda; brothers, Edgar of Gravois Mills,
Merle of Kansas City, Mo., Simon of Towanda;
10 grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren.

Evelyne Bush

Sedgwick County election office supervisor Evelyne June Bush, 64, Wichita, died Tuesday, May 28.
She is the sister of Douglass resident LaWanda Bush.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at the Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
Other survivors include her husband, John I.; son, Thomas I. of Wichita;
daughter, Brenda J. Mitchell of Wichita; brother, Howard Clements of Wichita; two grandchildren.
Memorials have been established with Hospice Inc. and Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.
Hillside Funeral Home, Wichita, is in charge of arrangements.

Minnie DeLong

Homemaker Minnie DeLong, Towanda, died Tuesday, May 28.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Friday at the United Methodist Church of Christ, Towanda.
Survivors include her sister, Grace Hull of Towanda.
A memorial has been established with the United Methodist Church of Christ.
Kirby-Morris Funeral Home, El Dorado, is in charge of arrangements.

Stanley Danford Sr.

Laborer Stanley F. Danford Sr., 55, Turon, died Wednesday, May 22.
He is the father of Stanley Danford Jr. of Augusta.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Browns Grove Cemetery, Burdette.
Other survivors include son David Hanby of Turon; 10 grandchildren.
Johnson & Sons Funeral Home, Turon, is in charge of arrangements.
