Chloe Neihardt

Homemaker Chloe Neihardt, 81, Augusta, died Saturday, June 15, at the Augusta Medical Complex Inc.
Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Dunsford Funeral Home, the Rev. J.D. Tatum officiating.
Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery.
Neihardt was born Nov. 6, 1909, to Myrtle Hartlerode and Albert N. McElroy at Honey Creek Township, ILL.
On Dec. 24, 1924, she married Francis Royal Neihardt in Eureka. He preceded her in death in 1980.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star.
Survivors include sons, Nelson of Garland, Texas, and Henry of Mesquite, Texas; daughter, Lou Viana Musiel of Augusta;
eight grandchildren; six greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Community Food Bank.

Norma Woodword

Norma Jean Woodword, 67, Reading, sister of Dorothy Jones of Augusta, died Monday, June 17,
at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
Her funeral service will be 1 o’clock tomorrow afternoon, June 20, at the First Christian Church in Emporia.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery east of Emporia.
She was born July 6, 1923 at Emporia to Lora Farr and Clara Belle Mgathan Farr.
On Aug. 11, 1946, she married Jack C. Woodword. He survives.
Mrs. Woodword was a member of the First Christian Church and the Badger Creek EHU.
In addition to her sister and husband, she leaves a son, Scott Woodword of Emporia;
three daughters, Carol Hopkins of Emporia, Nada Woodword of Fort Worth, Texas, and
Rita Richardson of Venice, Calif.; four grandchildren and one step-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by a brother.
Memorials to the First Christian Church at Emporia have been suggested.
The Carlson Funeral Home of Emporia is in charge of arrangements.

Izetta Hurlbut

Izetta Hurlbut, 80, Topeka, died Tuesday, June 18, at the Topeka Convalescent Center.
She is the sister of Glenn Knox of Augusta.
Funeral services are 12:30 p.m. Friday, June 21, at Detoit Cemetery, Detroit, Kan.
Mrs. Hurlbut will lie in state after 8 a.m. Thursday at the Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka.
She was born Oct. 9, 1910, at Detroit, Kan., to Florence & Harry Knox.
Mrs. Hurlbut attended school at Detroit and Chapman and was a member of the
Kansas Avenue United Methodist Church.
On Dec. 26,1927, she married Lawrence L. Hurlbut at Lincoln Center. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Larry Hurlbut of Grand Prairie, Texas;
two sisters, Marian Mulanax of Abilene, Leona Loy of Topeka; two grandsons; four great-grandchildren

Sylvester Graff

Sylvester Peter Graff, 86, McGregor, Minn., died Tuesday, June 18, at the
Itasca Memorial Hospital in Grand Rapids, Minn. He is a former Augusta resident.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, June 21, at Holy Family Catholic Church in McGregor, Minn.
Graveside services will be 3:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22, in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Oelwein, Iowa.
During World War II, he worked as a tool and die finisher at Boeing Aircraft in Wichita.
During this time, he and his wife and family lived in Augusta.
Survivors include his wile, Mae of McGregor, three sons and daughters-in-law Robert & Alice of McGregor,
Edward & Bonnie of Kotzebue, Alaska, Hal & Glenna of St. Augustine, Fla.;
Kay & Ron Vieth of St. Louis, Mo., Connie Snelling of Fort Collins, Colo.,
Sylvia & Mike Tilghman of Kansas City, Kan., Margie & John Cox and Barbara & Rainy Maron of McGregor,
eight daughters and sons-in-law, Jo & Bill Dawson and Janice & Gene Mecke of Wichita,
Dianne & Larry Ladd of Paliside, Minn.; a brother, Jim Graff of Oelwein, Iowa;
two sisters, Helen DuLude of Attleboro, Mass.; Agnes Lane of Longmont, Colo.;
55 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren.
