Hugh D. Moon

Hugh Donald Moon of Ballwin, Mo., died Thursday, June 20, in Ballwin.
His funeral service was today at St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Nov. 11, 1941 in El Dorado to Beaulah M. (Reinert) and Charles W. Moon.
His mother, who lives in Augusta, survives.
Moon was raised in Augusta and was a 1959 graduate of Augusta High School,
a 1961 graduate of Butler County Community College, and
graduated in 1964 from Kansas State University with a degree in milling engineering.
He was president of Moon Equipment Co. in the St. Louis, Mo., area.
Moon was a active member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church there.
In addition to his mother, he leaves a son, Charles Morris Moon,
and a daughter, Melissa Susan, his wife, Judi;
two sisters, Margarent Nicholson of Ballwin and Virginia Alley of Augusta, nieces and nephews.

Norval Anderson

Pueblo, Colo., civic leader and banker Norval M. “Andy” Anderson died May 19.
His wife, Mildred (Smith) Anderson is from Augusta.
Funeral services have already been held.
Other survivors include a son, Richard Riepe of New Jersey; and two granddaughters.
A memorial has been established with the Colorado Boys Ranch, La Junta, Colo., in memory of Mr. Anderson.

Eva Randle

Homemaker Eva Ruth Randle, 79, Augusta, died Saturday, June 22, at the Augusta Medical Complex.
Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta,
the Rev. Burl Allison Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Randle was born Oct. 15, 1911, in Bums to Maude Sawyer and William George Scobee.
On Aug. 17,1946, she married George Randle of Winfield.
She was a member of the Baptist Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Survivors include her husband, George; sons, Richard Jackson of Wichita, Gene Jackson of Burbank, Calif.,
Alvie Jackson of Wermo, Calif.; daughters, Linda Delance of Wichita, Barbara Jackson of Salem, Ore.;
brothers, George Scobee of Grove, Okla., A1 Scobee of El Dorado, Doug Scobee of Partridge;
sisters, Nora Spurgeon of Pratt, Ruby Long of Bucklin;
nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.

Marie Horyna

Homemaker Marie Rose Horyna, 83, Great Bend, died Saturday, June 22.
She is the mother of Edwin L. Horyna of Augusta.
Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 25, at Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, Olmitz.
Other survivors include sons, Clarence E. of Great Bend, Donald L. of LaCrosse,
Kenneth E. of Leavenworth; daughters, Rose M. Cosper of Irving, Texas, Evelene M. Knox,
Carol A. Huffman, both of Great Bend, Betty L. Hafenstine of LaCrosse,
Connie S. Allen of McPherson, Lois J. Cox of South Hutchinson;
sister, Fmaces Tuzicka of Albert; half-sister, Ann Dizmang of Salina;
49 grandchildren; 47 greatgrandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association.
Bryant-Christians Funeral Home, Great Bend, is in charge of arrangements.

Hugh D. Moon

Memorials for Hugh D. Moon, 49, Baldwin, Mo., have been established locally
with the Augusta United Methodist Church, 2420 Ohio St.,
and St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Manchester, Mo., which was Mr. Moon’s home church.
He is the son of Beulah Moon and brother of Virginia Alley, both of Augusta.
Mr. Moon’s funeral services were June 24 in St. Louis, Mo.

Glen Stivers

Retired high school basketball coach Glen Marvin Stivers, 58,
McPherson, died Thursday, June 27. He is the brother of Jane Adams of Augusta.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Monday at Larrison Mortuary, McPherson.
Other survivors include his wife, Yvonne; sons, Mike of Pratt, Patrick of Grand Junction, Colo.;
daughter, Susan Patton of Pratt; mother, Vera of Pratt; four grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with the Pratt High School athletic department.
