Mother Dies In Wichita
V. Maxine Green, 67, Wichita, mother of mother of Beverly Barber of Douglass, died Saturday at her home.
Her service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Resthaven Mortuary. Robert Herndon will officiate and burial will be in the Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
She was born Sept. 7, 1915 in Miltonvale to Manley and Melena Sauvian Matson.
Other survivors include sons, Randy D. Green of Wichita, Douglas B. Green of Post Falls, Idaho, and Darrell L. Green of Stavanger, Norway; her parents, Melena and Manley Metson of Clifton; sisters, L. June Kaiser of Salina and Evelyn Rickey of Clearwater, Fla.; eight grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

J.O. Futltz Dies In Wichita
Jessie 0. Fultz, 84, Wichita, sister of Mary Spivey of Leon, died Friday at St. Francis Regional Medical Center in Wichita.
Her service was at 1 p.m. today at the Cochran Mortuary in Wichita. Rev. Charles J. Chip-man officiated and burial was at the Little Walnut Cemetery in Leon.
She was bom March 23, 1898 in Tiny, Mo., to Jessie and Mat-tie Griggs Easley.
She married Russell D. Fultz Oct. 7, 1916 in Wichita. He died in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Roy Fultz of Walnut; a daughter, Kathryn Schulte of Wichita; a brother, Chris Easley of Newton; another sister, Lois Young of Wichita; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A son, Dewey Fultz, died Oct. 12. Twin daughters, Lula, and Lola, also preceded her in death.

Ex-Douglass Educator Dies
Rosalind Whipkey Ehrsam, 76, Wichita, a former Douglass educator, died Saturday at Wesley Medical Center.
Private internment was at 1 p.m. today at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita.
A memorial service was at 2:30 p.m. today at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Wichita. Rev. Robert Richardson, Rev. Jeffrey Black and Rev. Robert Bernhard officiated.
A memorial has been established with St. John’s Episcopal Church, 402 N. Topeka, Wichita, Kan., 67202.
She was born Sept. 1, 1906 in Hackney to Hugh Ellsworth and Eliza Jane Lyles Whipkey.
She married Wilbur M. Ehrsam, Feb. 16, 1930 in Enterprise. He died April 2, 1969.
After earning a B. A. degree in Emporia, she did graduate work at George Peabody College in Nashville, Tenn.
She was an educator. Her work ranged from nursery school to college. She taught in Douglass and several other communities.
While lecturing across the state on elementary education, she developed an interest in state history.
As an authority of elementary education and Kansas history, she wrote articles for Educational Digest, Kansas Teacher and National Educational Journal.
Survivors include a son, Jon E. Ehrsam of Wichita; a brother, Delbert Whipkey of El Segundo, Calif.; a sister, Margaret Clark of Concordia, and four grandchildren.

Father Dies
In El Dorado
Nicholas James Pardee, 93,
El Dorado, father of Mary Lou Howard of Augusta, died Tuesday at Susan B. Allen Memorial Hospital in El Dorado.
His service will be at 2 p.m Friday at St. John’s Catholic Church in El Dorado. Father Leroy Linnebur will officiate and burial will be in the Walnut Valley Memorial Park.
A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Kirby Morris Funeral Home in El Dorado.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Fund.
He was born June 11, 1889 in Italy to James and Anna Pardee.
He moved with his family to the United States as an infant.
He has lived in the El Dorado area since 1928.
He married Cecelia Elizabeth McClure July 7, 1917 in Titusville, Pa. She survives.
He worked as a laboratory technician for Skelly Oil Co., in El Dorado for more than 35 years before his retirement.
He was a veteran of World War I. He was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, VFW, American Legion.
Other survivors include another daughter, Mary Elizabeth Courtright of Topeka; two brothers, Joe Pardee and James Pardee, addresses unknown; a sister, Lena Donaldson, address unknown; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
