Cleo Morrow service at Topeka

Cleo Morrow, 67, Augusta, died Saturday, July 13, at a hospital in Columbia, Mo.
His funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 16, at the PenweU-Gabel Chapel, Topeka,
with interment in the Mt. Hope Cemetery.
He was a retired captain of the Kansas Highway Patrol turnpike division.
Morrow was a trooper pilot for the Kansas Highway Patrol for 22 years while serving the
last four years as captain of the turnpike division. He retired in 1977.
He served in the United States Navy from 1942-1946.
Morrow was a member of the Augusta Country Club.
On May 4, 1946, he married Ella Bollinger in Oakland, Calif. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include a son, Mike Morrow of Topeka;
two daughters, Linda Thompson of Topeka, Tracy Rodgers of Carbondale, and six grandchildren.

Eva Edwards

Homemaker Eva Edwards, 86, Augusta, died Sunday, July 14, at HCA Wesley Medical Center.
Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta,
the Rev. Robert Box officiating.
Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Edwards was born May 29 1905, in Pell City, Ala., to Lydia Ann (Johnson) and Porter S Robinson.
On Nov. 21,1925, she married
Virgil Lee Edwards in Holden-ville, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1980.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church.
Survivors include sons, Dick and Kenneth, both of Manhattan, Harold of Branson, Mo.,
Ron Edwards and Otis Buckhanon, both of Augusta;
daughters, Theda Winzer, Kathryn Keely, both of Towanda;
27 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial has been established with Abused Children’s Fund, 428 S. Broadway, Wichita, Kan. 67202.

died Saturday, July 13, at a hospital in Columbia, Mo.
Funeral services were today at the Penwell-Gabel Chapel, Topeka, with interment in the Mount Hope Cemetery.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association, 5372 S.W. Seventh St., Topeka, Kan. 66605.

Arley McFarland

Farmer Arley McFarland, 97, Andover, died today at the Andover Health Care Center.
Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday at Dunsford Funeral Home, Augusta,
the Rev. Bill Lambertson officiating. Burial will be in Garrison Cemetery.
McFarland was born Nov. 12, 1893, in Benton County to Margaret Jane (Crane) and David R McFarland.
On March 1, 1916, he married Emma Peth in Wichita. He preceded him in death in 1970.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Rose Hill; daughters, Dorothy Cavit of Campbell, Calif.,
Margaret Jester of Slidell, La.; 12 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; three great-greatgrandchildren.
